theres a manga? whats the full title, and i haven't seen a PSP game whens that coming out?
White Knight Chronicles Episode 0: Dogma War Chronicles. You can read it online here:
http://www.jp.playstation.com/scej/titl ... index.html

There's also a plethora of other online content talking about the history of the world. The more you read, the more things fit together.

The PSP game is Episode Portable: Dogma Wars, which takes place around the same time as the manga, 10,000 years before the PSP game, but from the perspective of the Asvarn "Train Corps" that oppose the Knights. Release in Japan is planned for sometime next year. It has PSP graphics but that aside it looks pretty epic... Everyone who's played the first game knows the "mysterious boy" in the trailer.

SPOILER ALERT

 Yes.

His real name is "Eldus". Time travel apparently adds like 40 years. There's also someone else in Episode 1 you can recognize from the manga character list if you know that.

Actually, no, though I imagine he's in there somewhere at some part I haven't got to. In any case, Glasel didn't use the time travel spell...

No, actually, she died and was reincarnated, and he was immortal. There are a lot of different ways to get to the future in this game.  It's Sarvain, aka Clyde Ledam, the original Black Knight, who gave up the rest of his youth (and presumably broke his pact in the process) in order to travel to the future to help Madras.

He also looks a lot like that guy in the cloak who killed Cisna's mother, and I imagine that happened around the same time Glasel started getting advice from Ledam.

I didn't actually realize this until I saw Eldore give a knowing nod at the beginning on the second game, but it seems he recognized immediately that  Sarvain was actually Ledam, who was pretty dang famous during his own time. I guess he didn't say anything since it would just make him look suspicious.

It doesn't come out until next year, but from the little we've seen it certainly looks good. It looks like it has in-game cutscenes with customizable equipment and an avatar character just like the PS3 games, rendering whole armies in realtime. Like just a lower-res version of the original engine:

Image

There's no info yet about the battle system, but obviously you don't have the Knights anymore (in fact they're probably mostly enemies), and as an Asvarn military unit you probably rely more on strategy and lost magic that isn't widely used in the world 10,000 later. In other words I imagine it'll be a lot like being Wizard/the Magi...

And I guess somehow it involves trains...

Aside from maybe visiting some of the buildings you saw as ruins, I'd imagine not. You're on the same continent, but all towns and countries are different, and probably even the land itself has changed a lot over 10,000 years. I mean, apparently there used to be a railroad. But you'll be able to take the two maps and compare them and probably see a lot of historical connections, like the area where that giant dude was famous, etc.

I know no one posted on this topic in some time, but I don't wanna create another topic, so yeah.

Is this game really worth it? I've heard some people say it's pretty cool and other say it sucks.
The plot doesn't seem that good and I watched some videos and it just looked like an "improved FFXII" or something like that ._.

its like a turn based game but your attacks simply need to charge before you can use them, and you have to wait awhile before you can use your incorruptus(the big suit of armor), but at least its not like those games that have random encounters that can give you a heart attack.

The plot is way better than FFXII. Unlike Vaan, Leonard is a real main character with real power, real drive and significance, a backstory that connects to the actual plot, and a complicated relationship with several characters. The Vaan in this story is your avatar. And btw your equipment changes what you look like in cutscenes. Imagine that. It's only 2010...

The dub sounds like it sucks, but the Japanese version has Maaya Sakamoto so come on...

besides final fantasy suck's, it's lost the magic it used to have, now its just full of bull and cock, only people with a bad taste in games would compare it with other's, also the multiplayer experience is a must try.

-_-# It doesn't suck. Well, XII kinda... But I like the good in both series despite the existence of some huge, gaping flaws in each that even a first-grader could point out...

I wasnt comparing the plot, I was comparing the battle system ^^"
From what I saw on the vids, it looks just like an improved FFXII using good old AI instead of dumb gambits '-'
