everyone keeps talking about it in band camp and how awesome it was and they keep on talking about how on opening night they took rubber snakes and dangled them in front of the ppl in front of them....Stevie Wonder could've seen that coming...-_-U

but something tells me that "Snakes on
the plane" being the plot isn't going to be
a good movie.
well the plot wasn't completely based off of random snakes on a plane. It had the whole protecting the eye witness thing. which caused the thing and yeah... xD

Okay, I finally saw it, and I have to disagree with the OP. Memoirs of a Geisha was a much better film, except that came out in the wintertime so I'm not sure if that counts. Snakes doesn't even come close to any of the movies I've seen this year; it doesn't even beat FD3, which I have to say, aside from the ending is one of the worst movies I've ever gone into expecting to enjoy.

In order to have enjoyed snakes on a plane you had to expect it to be horrible. It was all hyped up like that around the internets for months. I still don't think many of you understand the deepness of snakes on a plane. :)

I did expect it to be horrible, and it was still stupid!

It is really predictable, but as I keep saying...what made this entertaining for me was watching the people die....if they spent a little more money, they could've had a little better of a story line and add some more special effects (more snake attacks, other mishaps on the plane, etc) and make it slightly more entertaining, but I don't think it would've helped the cause...
Overall, I'd say the movie was mediocre....not the worst movie I've seen, but far from the best I've seen...
