The specs are out which do you like. Post why. I like the PSP because its small, the graphics and games selection are good and its sony. DS is just too big and it doesnt wow me by having to look at 2 screens. hardly the portable console.

i thimk nintendo has the advantage with the portable systems, they have been around longer and have more experence. But sony may pull something off, I have not been impressed with sonys new hardware. The PS3 sounds kinda pointless compared to the Nintendo rev. and X-box 2

PSP is more of a sony CLIE with games than a portable system.
DS is only games, while PSP can have music, movies, pictures, and such, and of course, games.
PSP is looking waaaaaaay better than DS.
Up with Sony! Down with Nintendo!

I think sony was here before nintendo not in games but in electronics. And by the way the PSP is not PS3. The PSX which is the third big consol wont be here for a long time. Im in Japan and its selling for 80000 yen which is about $800. If you want a picture do a google search the pics are everywhere now.

I would have to say that I too, prefer the PSP over the DS. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Nintendo, but I personally think that they should stick with Game Boys instead of luanching a whole new system. That and I prefer the way that the PSP looks and all of it's functions. The dual screen on the DS, just seem pointless.

While my soul belongs to Sony for their superior equipment in almost everything else they do... wait, that is the point. I say the PSP will pwn the DS in the FACE. Sony has basically dominated the midrange portable equipment market for quite some time, and this piece of technology is sure to be no acception. And with laptops that are tiny and second only to an Alienware, this is probably going to be one powerful mother. Seeing the stuff for Metal Gear Ac!d, I am already impressed at what it can do. And while it may not have good battery size, with battery technology improving every day, I am sure they will come up with something soon.
I still want one of those AI robots they make... but I'll settle for the PSP.

Ok FLARE has his facts wrong, again...
The PSX is NOT the PS3. (Notice i didn't use big red letters this time...)
The PSX is the PS2 with a bunch of little extras, unfortunately it is Jap only. I think its already out though. The PS3 is not out and anyone who says they have one should be arrested for possesion and/or use of illegal substances.

It's very much appreciated. I want to comment on what the PSX is, but I really don't know, either. I'll have to look into it...
Anyway, I think the PSP is better. The DS is... strange. The idea is a little quirky. Do I expect Nintendo to come up with some really strange but fun way to use it? You bet. Will a lot of people buy into it? Probably not, but you never know.

I would probably get the PSP...only because the DS is just really....weird.
