No cursing???

IN the episode Distrust (I think) in the english dub Tabby yelled SISSY!
and it caught everyone's attention around her.

Was she supposed to curse or something??

If so, how do you feel about Curseless Roots?

What do you expect, it's Cartoon Network.

Besides, the dub is already ruined beyond all redemption due to Tabby's voice.

No cursing because it's airing on Cartoon Network. Pft, not like little kids will wake up at 5 in the morning to watch it. If it where on [adult swim] it'd be much better. But alas, it is not. I think //ROOTs was slightly ruined. The dub is okay so far, except for Tabby's voice, which, along with Atoli's voice, should never exist on the face of the earth.

I don't remember tabby ever cussing in the series. I wouldn't really find it her style either.

Hmm...now that I think of it, I don't think Tabby did curse after all. Well, still, since it's Cartoon Network, I doubt anyone would curse at all. That sucks, especially for Haseo.

Well, actually, there are dubs that have aired on Cartoon Network have had cursing. Although they usually go only as far as "damn it" and "idiot"

And I don't think I'm just talking about Adult Swim here.

cartoon network sucks...and the dubb sucks even worst...the VAs all suck...cept ovan and haseo(they destroyed phyllo and i shall destroy them)

I didn't notice anything wrong with Tabby's VA. I've made a habit of watching each episode with subs immediately after the airing of the localized version, and so far the only problem voice I'm seeing is Phyllo.

Isn't it interesting the way I don't mind Phyllo's voice at all, and yet Tabby's American accent grates on my nerves? O.o

Still, things like 'damn it' and 'the hell it is' are hardly swears. If they take swearing out of the English version then I can cope with that, as it means my cousin can watch it, being a big fan of .hack//SIGN.
