Best weapon

Does anyone know the best weapons for kite and his friends?
I mean for quarantine.

Karma definitely nailed it with the various attributes on the weapons. I carry around one set of blades for each element weakness so I can defeat enemies as quickly as possible.

For a good standard element weapon, I use

 Sora's Blades, with the added affect of Death

to drop big enemies. You also get definite style points for using those

Are Dante's Blades and Hell's Gate a good pair of weapons?

(Oh, yeah i like sora's blades because of their death attribute and the looks of them)

If those are the highest possible level blades you can obtain for their respective elements atm, then yes. The faqs posted in the outbreak/quarantine forums may aid in your search.

I generally try to also use weapons with attacks that do not drain my skill points in a few moves, giving me the option to heal party members in case of an emergency.

But if you carry around a few extra healing potions, it shouldn't be an issue.

if you want the "best" weapons Lvl. wise

you must unlock the gate that leads to where Harold is supposedly wandering

i warn you though

you will want to be in the 90's Lvl wise and be sure to already have the Sublimer on Kite

Depends what you mean by "Best", like some people said.

I like the Sora Blades too, I didn't use anything else after I got them. Despite not being such a high level, anything with Death and the stats of a rare weapon are for the win. No other class has a rare weapon with Death. They have some like the Slayer and the Godslayer, but they all suck.


The highest level non-rare weapons for each class are:

Sublimer
Staff of Truth
Ultimate Spear
Tsumugari
Missing Axe
Eternity

These are the ones that count on the item list. They kinda suck though, not all are LV99 even, some are as low as level 86. But they're rather easy to get.

However, the rare ones, which tend to be better, are:

Sin of Hades
Banyuinryoku
Valhalberd
Forsaken Light
Hell's Herald
Chaos Sword

These are the true "Ultimate" weapons. All of the above but the Forsaken Light are found by DDing various data bug monsters in Harald's 10 story dungeon. The Forsaken Light is found in the final secret Darkside dungeon, near the beginning actually.

Someone here mentioned Nil & Despair, which is good if you want to protect break a certain monster that's very weak compared to you like, say, the 10hp level 1 Goblin back in Delta that anything, even the Amateur Blades would surely kill in one hit. N&D takes 1 HP at a time from any monster, and the other five classes have a weapon like that as well.

Nil & Despair is found on the tree DB's in one of the first locations in Quarantine (the one back in Sigma Spiritas gives you). Junk Sword and Yeah Piros! are found on certain DB's in the two secret area keywords. The other three are in the Darkside 15 story dungeon. However, the only other one of those really worth keeping is the Wand Wannabe, given that it has magic and some weak monsters like the little witches only Protect Break with Magic.
However, people of the respected classes seem to LOVE these weapons, so they're a great way to raise affection.

I heard of a tip for beating the goblins.
Since i never did try to beat them, I don't know if it's true or not, but here it is anyways:

Have some Wood magic equipped. Start the match, wait until the Goblin runs, then sits still for a moment. Then, use the magic. Goblins are all weak against Wood; two shots will kill them.

Like I said, i've never tried to do the goblin match, so I haven't a clue if it really works.

in qaurentine it does nothing

if ur on infection or mutation u have a chance at it

but once u hit vol 3 its all out physical attacks and lots of Speed Charms

the grunty trick kinda works

but it takes longer

you just have to up ur speed

which is y lvl 99 is a must

Oh, thanks, I probly would've gone crazy trying to use the wood elemental technique.....as soon as i get my ps2 back, IT'S ON!!!!

and as for the grunty trick, it dont work on Vol 3 and 4

best thing to do is get to Lvl 99 and then get all the Secrets you can (found mainly after you clear Vol 4)

then you will want Sora's Blades or Sin of Hades

both work great

but the Sora's Blades have that added death affect that everyone seems to love so much

u know what i did? i used beasts bane to get rid of the goblins ability to protect from magic attacks, then you wouldn't have to chase after it so much and you can use wood spells to greatly drain their hp

it really got the job done for me hope it helps!

i tried that

but its impossible to do magic on them for rounds 10 and up

you just gotta get close and pull off a quick Wood Physical

thats the only way to freeze them
