need some info

I just beat outbreak and I'm battleing the Black Death. I want to DD him but if he doesn't give me an item then I want to kill him. So what item (if any) do I get from him?

Just learned you can't DD him... sorry 'bout that.

you can datadrain him but you have to get rid of his magical tollerance first than use only magic until you can datadrain him and you get the golden yasha one of the best weapons in outbreak

I dunno where you "Learned" that you can't DD him, because that's not true.

Some monsters can only be protect break by using physical attacks, and some only by magic attacks as well. Unfortunately, while having magic tolerance, Black Death breaks by magic only. So you must use either Dek Vorma or Beast Banes and then pound the hell out of it with a summoning Wavemaster (Wiseman's your only one). Use the Cygnus Rod, it has Merrows Rf and this guy is Fire Element so it'll do a lot... not to mention it's the most powerful non-rare wand in Outbreak. Careful not to kill it too fast... also might want to cast Rig Gaem on Wiseman.

since I can't get the golden yasha (I already beat him...), can I still complete item finding event at the end of quarantine?

Yeah. The Golden Yasha is a rare item, so it doesn't count. Sucks though... would have greatly benefited.

I have one more question: you know that list monsters in the Ryu (spelling?) Books, well how does that work? Are they monsters you've beaten or DD or met? And if there monsters you've beaten, then what about the secret dungeon monsters that you get rare items from? It would be a crime not to DD them on purpose, but does that mean you can't complete the monster list? Whelp, glad I that off my chest.

It's monsters you've beaten. You don't have to DD them all.

If you didn't DD the Parasite Dragon, Angolmore, or Black Death, you didn't miss being able to complete anything. You can still complete the item list since their items don't count, and you can still complete the monster list since you have to beat them all, not DD (Dawn Wanderer, Temptress Lover, and Lios' fake Data Bug are in there, and you can't even DD them).

The only thing you DO miss by not DDing them are some kickass weapons that could really help you later.
