Shugo wears boxers? 0_o (Hot Springs)

Ok, I was running through my previous episodes of .hack//LOTB and I found something very odd, it seems, in one frame, shugo isn't wearing any um.....
"Underclothing" but when he get's zapped, he instaly puts on Boxers.
Is this some sort of "safe guard" in the world? So people don't walk around naked?

(Not that im complaigning.)

And then, bamb, insta-boxers.

Anyone got any comments for this?

I'm just sad I only saw the episode once (That 'Ouka? Is that you?' gag was just... wow, unexpected.)... they were nude in the springs, but I guess it was because the episode had to be appropriate, as the TV version did (Thus, Ouka's outfit change)... So yeah, just making it safe and what-not. I guess it wouldn't make it a very appropriate game if people could do that at any time. :B

Yes but realize, this was taken from a japeneese copy.
Thus, nudity would be very common in anime (heck, just look at the early episodes of Dragonball!)

It's sort of hard to tell what KIND of underwear they are, but im suspecting boxers.

ANOTHER Theory I have, is that could just be the witches 'cloak' just to sort of cover up shugo's..... pride?

I know, people here freak about it a little too much, but if they gave Ouka shorts rather than a thong than I guess they were trying to make it safer for everyone, no real censoring involved.

The series seems a bit biased like that anyways, they have plenty of tight clothes and almost naked (or covered) girls, but they end up giving Shugo that. :B Perhaps it's the same bathing suit he wears in the second manga's beach part. That seemed just as short.

Nah, that actually looks more like underwear or cloth, the bathing suit he wore in the second one I believe had like flowers and crap on it (ilke hawain themed)

It looked ALOT longer than this thing does here.

Ooh, I just remember them being high-up and black... maybe I should check again. :B

I love the pictures! X3 Shugo looks pretty normal to me... I guess all that steam sort of confuses and makes it hard to see things properly though. ;P

the steam and rocks were to stop any nudity from getting through in that episode so that it doesn't end up like the .hack//GIFT ending.
on a side note, i'm guessing all .hack Characters wear skimpy armor (ex subaru, black rose/mimiru, ouka) which is probably what makes .hack different from other RPGs.

oh yeah...I forgot about that...I remember seeing Shugo um...naked there...then he was lying down on that scene...and Mireille told him to put some clothes on...and if he was still naked then that means Mireille and the other could see...(no clue if you get what I'm saying...) -_- maybe it's some special effect in The World....(I have no clue what I'm talking about...)

ooooo yeah the //GIFT ending...I was shocked and...freaked out...Crim, Sora, and Silver Knight were even peaking...well I think it was mostly Sora...you only see Crim's hair and...whatever Silver Knight was doing...

uh i dunno what mireille is talking about cuz werent ouka hotaru and her naked on the other side???? sorry i havent seen that episode in a while.

i never saw gift, but i could only imagine from what you said.....

you should watch it >.< it's really funny...!!! yet...not suitable for little children...or at least the ending part isn't...

it was that scene where the hot springs disappeared or something...I'm not sure...it's been a while since I've seen that episode...but I'm pretty sure Mireille said "Shugo put some clothes on or you'll catch a cold..."

I look at the subtitles sometimes for //SIGN so I could tell what Japanese parts they didn't have in English...I want to do that for //LOTTB too but I don't have the DVDs -_- and I'm not totally convinced to get the DVDs because I really liked the manga waaaay better than the anime...

maybe Mireille didn't say "Shugo put some clothes on or you'll catch a cold..." where you are because you live somewhere else...I watched a totally different //LOTTB in the Philippines...Mireille's voice scared me...it wasn't cute at all *shudders* ...but you live in California so it's got to be the same -_-

I'm still confused when they say things like that, it's just a game... Shugo said a few times how cold it was once in a snow feild... maybe it's just RPing though...

I remember hearing someone else complain about that too, I'm sure we have the same one. X3 I have the first DVD, but it doesn't play the episodes properly, some sort of error that the DVDs have with certain players... so if you do get them, make sure you have whatever advancements and updates for it. x.x

Yeah but... still... I don't think in the world bathing suits would mysteriouslly appear on people, because they didn't on the girls when the hot springs disapeared.

I think it's just biased. ;P Didn't they do something like that with Tsukasa too though?
