I'm doing the happy dance at this annoucement cause I loved playing the heck outta the first game! To get the obvious question outta the way... which .hack characters do you wanna see get in this time? I vote for skipping G.U. and bringing us a Sakuya & Sora (pair) and Hermit (solo)!

Now what other characters are ya hoping to see? I'm wanting some from Mega Man Battle Network! The first game delved into cyberspace quite a few times I'd think that franchise'd be fitting!

^_^ that was my first thought after hearing about this, my guess is they may just add the main game protagonists so Haseo andTokio..possibly Sakuya or Sora at a stretch but knows. As for the setting, it could be R:2, R:X or maybe a later version and depending on which would be the antagonist they choose.

^^' that is assuming they add .hack characters into this game. Would be nice to see Megaman Legends characters but very doubtful, wonder if they'll keep some of the original roster or replace everyone @.@

BlackRose x Alkaid unit? I bet they'll bring Skeith / Skeith Zero back since Kite's gotta have something ta do. Could see the basic "generic" AIDA as regular baddies an hopefully the Goblins'll be back! Tri-Edge or Ovan are almost certainly gonna be in their as boss tier baddies.

Its a fair possibility since Blackrose was used before and they'll probably choose Alkaid for her physical attack style. ^^' unless they decide to go with the deadly *heal them into submission" strategy with Atoli. I just hope they decide to add more .hack characters, suppose they could choose from a Tsukasa, Tokio or Sakuya combo.

Wonder if they've change Kite's moveset for this, though Haseo will unleash Skeith or go into his Xth Form..maybe both! ^_^ If they goblins do appear I hope they give Haseo a bike rush attack xD

That looks like Kite's crazy huge DD from Versus, way different from the traditional one seen in the first PXZ @_@

I hope the 2nd character from GU is Alkaid rather than Atoli (assuming they add 2 just like Kite/Black Rose in X-Zone 1)

...Why Kite of the Azure Flame? That makes very little sense, especially since it seems they've removed BlackRose why add another guy? Better yet why add a slightly zombified version of an already established character? I mean they had Kite and Haseo confirmed already, why not go with Tokio or Tsukasa? Just about Anyone else other than Kite of the Azure Flame. Or if they were to go with another Kite archetype, Shugo, Sakuya, or Sora would have been Much better picks.

But... at this point beggars can't be choosers.

Makes perfect sense. PXZ1 was about .hack//Infection characters, PXZ2 is about .hack//GU characters, having Azure Kite to Haseo would in turn be essential.

Oh, I hadn't realized that the dot hack scenario this time around was focusing on R:2. Then yes, Kite of the Azure Flame is pretty essential. (sort of surprised they didn't call him Tri-Edge in that case, unless Ovan is also going to make an appearance)

Plus they only have the license to .hack// + .hack//G.U. so I doubt we'll see anyone past that, though they may add more characters down the line @.@

I would expect to see either Atoli,Alkaid,  Cubia (for a boss) or Ovan @.@
