So has anyone tried it out? A friend of mine gave me a code for a free trial this weekend and it has a very similiar art direction to Aion, but its ui, quest tracker, frames are similiar to Wow's. You get to choose a soul, which is like a spec. You get to unlock up to 3 and can earn your next soul from npcs at level 13. You can buy a new role for 30g up to a total of 4 roles and anyone can buy a mount at a low level, provided you have 2 platinum and 50 gold. The cost of buying new roles goes up exponentially after the 2nd role is bought. Gold is easy to earn, but platinum, not so much. Each soul tree goes up to 51 soul points and spending even numbers of soul points unlock new skills which you learn. You gain one or two soul points per level. My mage is a pryomancer, elementalist and archon. My warrior is a champion, beastmaster and paragon. You can reset your soul talents for free under level 15. I hit the cap, can't level any higher on my trial. So far, I'm interested in what Rift has to offer.
