Gas how far shall it rise this time?

Post by zaseo »

Gas prices are on the rise again due to the problems in Northern Africa, and the Middle East. How far shall it rise this time? Well in Houston it is about 3.60$ as of Apr 4. If the conflicts don't clam down then it will be worst than the time a few years back. High gas = high food prices as well. Things are worst because of budget cuts, and the overall fail economy. At this rate gas might be 5$+ per gallon. What do you think?

Gas prices here in Oregon are around that range. However, I find it unlikely that they will ever go past $4. They normally drop by then. If price continued to rise like that people would stop buying it as much.

Just hit $4.00/gal in my area today (Chicago). It'll be $5 pretty soon - probably peak time in the Summer. I'm thinking of getting a scooter - a Vespa, and nickname it a Grunty!

$3.95 here in Detroit. Don't have too many options, my truck is my lifeline so I have to pay for it.

There are times that I'm glad I ride the bus. Now, if only my city could get more regular on it's bus schedules...

Best plan, really. Don't forget to stick a speaker on it that plays the Grunty song whenever you turn it on.

That is pure win.

It is around the same prices here, but I don't get hit too hard by it than other people. I don't own one of those wasteful SUVs and I only drive when I have to, but most importantly I drive in a way that uses up less gas. It has been shown that driving in a calmer more controlled way actually uses up less fuel than driving recklessly and impatiently--up to 30% more. This means not flooring it as soon as the traffic light turns green and instead slowly gaining up speed over a longer distance. This is because when starting up slower you are not fighting the momentum as much, and often that tiny minuscule amount of time you might have gained when you speed up fast is lost again when you get to a traffic light or stuck behind someone driving slower than you, meaning that you used more gas to start moving faster when you got nothing to gain from it. Ever since I changed my driving habits a year or two ago I've gone from around 230-240 miles when I refill up to 280. You can really save a lot if you just calm down a bit when you drive.

I'd rather bike everywhere. I can usually travel 20 miles or so in less than an hour, and most of the places that I need to go to are within a 5 to 10 mile radius of my neighborhood.

Just hit $3.85 in FL. Jeez this sucks... I mean I have a car that gets great gas mileage (35 Mi/gal :) ) but I drive to college everyday and I spend 20 dollars a week just for TWO friggin' days of travel. By the end of the week my car is just running of fumes and I allways barely make it to the local gas station. STUPID OBAMA!!!!! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!!!!!! (To clarify the entire liberal agenda is to cause inflation by printing money without having anything to back it up. And thats why the U.S. dollar is now not even worth ****.) And that is my rant for the day (hope i don't get banned :( )

Crap it looks like our government is going to shut down. I know it happen before in 1995, but if it happened now then we're screwed. In 1995 we weren't fighting 3 wars (more might come due to other uprisings), with rising oil prices, people losing jobs, budget cuts, and dealing with economic gridlock. Gas as nearly risen a dollar in such a short time, and it isn't even the summer.

I blamed the Democratic, and Republicans parties. Both are like opposite sides of the same coin right now. It doesn't matter who runs because somehow whoever is in control is going to bring total failure.
This is something we can all do to the government right now.

It's $4.10 over here. I definitely don't drive as much anymore. Pretty soon, it'll hit $5 bucks.

Unless you're chilling with the revolutionaries in Egypt, gas is expensive across the world except in oil rich countries:

I filled up my car some time last week, and gas was about $4.20/gal if I remember correctly. Cost me $60 to fill up 15 gallons. And the best part is that I can't get anywhere without driving because everything is so far.

Gotta love Los Angeles.

Subsidized by extremely wealthy parents who throw oil parties (or parTAYs)! Doesn't count. I assume you mean checking account, not an ATM. Man I wish I were young enough to get parent handouts still... I filled my car up last Monday - haven't been back to the gas station yet.

Not really, He gives me money only for my commodities because I'm letting my younger cousin stay here instead of a dorm for college, and so the money I get from my job is mine and mine only while the money he sends me if I need it is for groceries, fuel, bills etc.
