Night of the weaver festival episode

First off, Hi, I'm Katastrophe, I'm new here and quite a large .hack fan. I've seen LOTB several times through, but since I'm not japanese literate, I've been curious about that one episode, 'Night of the Weaver festival', or something like that. The part where everyone was writing down their wishes, was the part I was EXTREMELY anxious to know because I couldn't read 'em. I wonder why cartoon network doesn't bother to translate, I mean, it could have revealed alot about the character's personalities. So, what I'm asking is if anyone is nice enough to find out what everyone had written as their wishes on that episode and tell me, thanks.

I'd be happy to help. The reason they didn't translate is because they would have to edit the art and stuff, and they're too lazy. They don't want to draw anything in an art style they can't pull off.

Now these next to wishes are really cute.

Komiyan's wish was actually edited. It actually read ''I want Rena just wearing a pair of socks.''

^^; eh, not really. That was just Shugo's disturbing imagination going off on the wrong foot. The kanji specifically said "Rena's Socks."

I'd just like to say that this episode was really called "Tanabada night" (I don't know if I spelled that right) Maybe It was just hard for the network to translate this. (they should've at least put subtitles for that part)

Actually, in the manga it was called the Weaver Night's festival.

Somtimes Cartoonetwork can be too lazy. I bet they dont even care about . hack. I mean seriously when you go to their web site they dont even have picks of .hack alls they do is just ignore it. and also they'll take it off if too many people stop watching it.

The question has been answered but I'm just going to add something else.
There are differences for the wishes between the Anime and the Manga

In the Anime
Ouka = Strong Enemy
Mirelle = Rare Item
Hotaru = Healthy Grunty
Rena = Her and Shugo to be together
Shugo = To be with Rena (american version so it might be off)

In the Manga
Ouka = Strong Enemy
Mirelle = Rare Item
Hotaru = World Peace (but this is the translated version so it might be a tad off)
Rena = That Shugo would become a hero
Shugo = That he will be strong and brave

I remember that in the Anime, there were prizes, and those prizes may have been why the wishes were changed.

I distinctly remember that they said CC Corperation will fulfill the wish of the winner if it is under their power, and if not the winner will recieve a year's free subscription. (Or something to that extent)

If Shugo in the anime wished that he was the strongest character, then CC Corp would have had to fulfill that wish and level him up. I don't think they wanted Shugo to be stronger than Balmung....
Well...thats what I saw and think. I'm probably wrong.

Does anyone know if the wishes I said were right?

They did it for the manga and the show... you just did it for the show. They seemed sort of different.

Either way I think the show's wishes (Shugo's and Rena's) are a lot sweeter. :3

Because it's expensive and HARD AS HELL? Most of you have absolutely NO IDEA how hard it is to translate between the two languages.
