I've been replaying a my no more heroes and metal gear games and started to notice that the characters seem to resemble of each other:
The Fury and Captain Vladimir: Insane russian cosmonauts.
Henry and Liquid: Evil twin brother of protagonist.
Ocelot and Dr. Peace: Revolver wielding psycho's.
The Fear and Chloe Walsh: Freakish and scary style of movement.
Kimmy howell and Paz Ortega: Loli's who claim to like the protagonist but tries to kill them later on.
Santa death parade vs glastonbury fight and metal gear rex vs metal gear ray: Giant mecha battling each other.
Plus the fact that Goichi Suda and Hideo Kojima are friends, it may be intentional.

Re: Between Metal Gear and N.M.H
Hey Ocelot isnt a revolver wielding psycho!(well kinda) but I think captain vladimir might be an intentional nod to the fury due to him sharing the same voice actor with Roy campbell of metal gear, only difference is that captain ought to be named "the confused" due to him thinking that its still the cold war.

Re: Between Metal Gear and N.M.H
Revolver Ocelot isn't a psychopath. He's arguably a sociopath, but ultimately he's just working toward his own revolution like every other Metal Gear antagonist in the series.
The Fury didn't have much of a character in Metal Gear Solid 3. He was just a member of a barely fleshed-out group of operators that served as a metaphor for Naked Snake's development as a soldier. On the surface they may strike a resemblance, but that's not really saying much. The same can be said for the Fear except that the Fear was a special character and the second most important member of the Cobras.
Lolis are pretty commonplace in Japanese anything.
Sibling adversaries is nothing new either.
Even though these characters may show some similarities, they don't outweigh the numerous ways in which they are different. With so many games out there you're bound to find similarities between certain titles. It's even possible one may be making an homage to another.
