Re: Namco vs Capcom Announced???
The first Namco Vs. Capcom was a RPG game that never got released outside of Japan.
Regardless of whether or not it a fighting game or RPG is it possible we see some .hack characters in the crossover or no?

Re: Namco vs Capcom Announced???
TEKKEN!!!! :D
And i want it to be a fighting game, with its respective health bar and special bar for spiffy special attacks, not an RPG/tactics game where you go walking around and then fight some dudes choosing attacks from a menu and they have HP and all....That's NOT how a crossover game with Capcom should be XP And sure, Namco has quite the huge range of game genres and has several RPGs...but, Tekken. Enough said.
And yes, it's possible and likely that if a Namco vs Capcom game is released, it's going to have .Hack characters. "Tales of" characters too, for those who are fan of those series as well. Xenosaga too.

Re: Namco vs Capcom Announced???
Does this mean I can finally beat up Yuri Lowell with Haseo?
let's cross the sky, to the future!
Re: Namco vs Capcom Announced???
I'd totally get this if it had .hack characters in it. (i always might get it anyway) but the only other .hack cameo i can remember atm is the G.U. skins for ridge racer 7
Re: Namco vs Capcom Announced???
Haseo better be in it, and he better have these 2 specials. Using Skeith's scythe to slash his opponents apart. Using Skeith to Data Drain this opponents.

Re: Namco vs Capcom Announced???
Rumor is revealed. It is not Namco vs Capcom, but Tekken Vs. Street Fighter
Street Fighter IV producer Yoshinori Ono had his "Street Fighter IV and Beyond" panel interrupted by Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada today, with the rival fighting game makers joining together to announce two Street Fighter versus Tekken collaborations.
Street Fighter X Tekken was introduced with a teaser trailer featuring Street Fighter's Ryu facing down Tekken's Kazuya in a pre-rendered sneak peek presented in Street Fighter IV's sketchy, inky visual style. The game, pronounced "Street Fighter cross Tekken" will be coming to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Following the announcement, Ono surprised the crowd by holding up a Blu-ray disc with a copy of the game, then provided attendees with a live, playable demo.
Street Fighter X Tekken appears to feature Street Fighter IV's gameplay mechanics, locked onto a 2D plane, with both Tekken and Street Fighter characters performing EX-style super moves. The match started off with Ryu versus Kazuya, but Ono and Harada tagged in two more characters, Street Fighter's Chun-li and Tekken's Nina Williams. Ryu deployed his trademark fireball Ultra move, with Kazuya later following that up with his spinning electrified uppercut.
Harada followed that playable match with an announcement of his own, confirming that Tekken X Street Fighter is also in development at Namco. That game is rumored to play in the style of Tekken, with contestants fighting in a 3D arena.
Ono said the games won't be out "for a while" and that fighting game fans should enjoy Marvel vs. Capcom 3 while they wait.

I guess this means no .hack character. =(

Re: Namco vs Capcom Announced???
Too bad their didn't use Tekken mechanics. They made 3d models for street fighter, might as well take advantage of that...
I think usually "Namco &" games only involve stuff from the Namco side of the company, so that wouldn't include .hack. Then again, .hack has given Bamco so much product placement they pretty much owe them one. KeroKero Gunsou, Tales of Graces, Yu-Gi-Oh, Gundam (in passing), Tail Concerto/Silent Bomber. But that one was probably the Idolmaster version of Gentle Hands...

Re: Namco vs Capcom Announced???
That's sad. I also expected to see more characters in the Capcom side. They had their whole Resident Evil and Devil May Cry cast.I guess this means no .hack character. =(
But still...i'm in sheer enjoyment for this, loving SF since i was a little kid attached too much to a SNES, and Tekken is my favorite fighting game series. I was in complete shock by reading this, and i had to look for more information to see if they weren't messing with me....and well, it's true O-O Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Marvel vs Capcom 3, and now this...i am so happy to be alive O_O
But that's why they're making BOTH games, Street Fighter x Tekken and Tekken x Street Fighter. And i thought Street Fighter IV had 3D models already D8'Too bad their didn't use Tekken mechanics. They made 3d models for street fighter, might as well take advantage of that...
They aren't giving us the whole cast of each company, but instead of the usual "mixed" style, they're giving us 2 games...One that will be like SF with its gameplay mechanics with Tekken characters modified and adapted to such style, AND one that will be like Tekken with all its mechanics (hopefully side-step and bound), and with the SF characters adapted to it. And i'm equally excited for both.

Re: Namco vs Capcom Announced???
Oh, I missed that part. And yeah, I meant that in SF4 the characters are 3D but they don't do anything 3D except victory flips. It's kinda a waste...
