I always come across random articles on MSN and this one caught my attention
GameCrush is now officially open but it is down now because of the many applicants

Basically if you are a girl and you sign up with GamerCrush you are added to a list,
guys go to this list and pick you, and they pay GameCrush $8.25 (60% of which goes to the "PlayDate")

Currently you can play with a girl on XBOX Live and some silly games on the site like sinking a battleship


For sure, this is a good idea and so many girls all over the world will take advantage of those lonely guys...
and so many "suspects" as well, it will be easy for a guy to post a picture of a girl and get payed for it
so there really needs to be fixed!

I'm surprised it took them that long to have a "dating site" based on videogames. Still, this has happened so many times before, in XBox Live, several MMO's, and in gaming forums with sections like "Find your partner here!!", and those sections have several functions, like finding someone who plays a very rare game online, someone to "boost" trophies and achievements, and find people of the opposite gender to play some games with. And they're all free too. And yeah, there are several girls in those forums...but keep in mind that they, like most average people, play the games for PLAYING them, not to find a love partner :/

This idea will be great for the GameCrush people earning money, the lonely gamers who constantly use those dating sites, and trolls and bored people who will have so much fun joking around others pretending to be the lovely, cute, and sexy gaming girl (and it'll be so easy to pretend you're a girl...finding a pic is the easiest thing, and there are several programs you can use to modify your voice). As of what i think...the idea is not new and all and has happened before, and it isn't sad that it exists...but it is sad that people will pay only to have the chance to play some videogame with a girl, and with the only thing happening is a random chatting, and a bit of playing. And i'd never use it myself because i have no reason to look for a girl that way, i play videogames for everything except finding the "love of my life", and i can already play videogames and talk to a girl at the same time and has happened before certain times, all for free.

Completely agree with you. My 2 "biggest" (for lack of a better word) relationships have also occured online, but not because i paid for one of those dating services or whatever, it's because of a chain of events involving several things, which could be comparable to us meeting each other offline and experiencing many things together...except it was online. Of course, those girls right now probably want anything except me, so it's not like i can say great things about it -3-

And if i were single, which perhaps i am right now, i wouldn't be in those sites. Heck, if i'm going to be already "paying" for a girl to be with me, i'd just save enough to pay for a whore. Better than simply wasting my money seeing a Magibon sink my battleships, for then the gaming hour to end, and never be in contact with that girl again. I probably have more chances to meet a "correct" girl in Tekken or MGO than in this, and it would be free.

The difference is that in this case, you're already "offering" yourself, "selling yourself" to whoever has the money to pay for you. And sure, in this case, "yourself" might be nothing more than your face, your voice, and your gaming skills, but still, the moment this involves money, the moment it turns more into a job, and something you do just for the money, than for your liking to videogames. Yes, you might still like playing videogames, and enjoy doing so with the guys...but you could say the same for the rest of the girls who offer those porn webcam services...they might like doing that and do it for such pleasure, but in the end, it's all because of the money, and they simply use it as a "pleasurable" way to earn it. This is more than just playing a MMO with a team full of guys (even if it's not a free MMO)...this is just selling yourself so a guy can "buy" you, and play videogames with you for a while. And yeah, you might find truly nice and lonely guys who wouldn't mind playing a bit with a girl....but, this is the internet, and the requests of "Tits or GTFO" will be inmense, even if there are rules against it or whatever, it's still the internet. And i won't be one-sided...yeah, the same could happen to nice and lonely guys who just wish to have fun, and they end up with a girl that just wants to take advantage of him, or with a trolling guy.

But i won't judge you, if you'd like to be part of this and were in the legal age to do so, i wouldn't insult you for your decision or anything. This is simply my view on this site, as for me, it's just one of those dating sites, plus gaming. Sure, i might be wrong on several things, as well as there could be things i'm ignoring, but still. And who knows, maybe once that site works i could spend some money on it, and if you were on it, i'd pay just to see you and play with you. But in that case, i'd rather just give you $10 directly from my pocket, and then we play whichever games we feel like for as long as we feel like, but that's just me.

And talking to someone while playing isn't comparable at all to prostitution, but having someone to pay so they can see you, and "use your service", in this case playing a videogame, has at least several similitudes to prostitution. I still compare it to those sites where people pay so they can see a girl on webcam, stripping to dozens of other people and chatting to them at the same time....it's pretty much the same, except that instead of stripping, it's just gaming, but still, all goes back for having people to pay you so you do something with them, and the main focus here is that it's a girl you're playing with, talking to, and seeing on the webcam...so yeah :/
