Bio(not needed for story): Candice was originally from Texas and grew up practically inside of a computer, but there's only so much you can do before boredom sets in hence why she joined the military. That and they helped pay for her college a couple years back. She started when she was 17 graduated with degrees in Computer Science and Chemistry when she was 20. And she's damn smart and overly inquisitive which has gotten her into trouble a couple of times, she's nearly jeopardized a couple missions because she wanted to read a particularly juicy bit of information.
Training in demolitions was just a practical use of her knowledge of chemistry, plus it's fun to blow stuff up and if they weren't afraid she'd hack into the pentagon or some other sensitive computer network the military would keep her on the backlines providing technical support instead of running in with guns and having bullets whizzing by her head. Fortunately for her she can also predict the paths of bullets fairly well and despite a few firefights she's managed to avoid getting hit thus far, of course she herself has only been fired at a couple times once by a sniper she noticed and located by the bullet holes in a nearby building.
She got the name "Tex" because she was the only person in her first unit from Texas and she reminded one of the others of a character from a web series of the same name.
