Pokemon HG/SS release date revealed

Post by iuliathe3rd »

The NA release date for HeartGold and SoulSilver is March 14, 2010, apparently: [link]

I'm trying very hard to contain my excitement right now. I was thinking of waiting until my birthday to get the game (in hopes that it'd be a b-day gift) but I don't think I can wait that long so screw it.

Yet another reason for me to head to GameStop this weekend. Must. Pre-order.

Now, the big question for me is, HeartGold or SoulSilver? I had the Gold version originally, so do I stick to it?

Well the "date" they have for the EU release is generically set for spring. That's better than nothin'. :V

I'm with you AM, just like how I said when AC II came out, I VERY excited about this game. I'm getting SS. I haven't been this excited ever since Vol 1// Rebirth came out. ( I said the same thing when AC II came out).

Yeah, it's been awhile since I've been this excited for a video game. Not since... Redemption? And boy, what a letdown that ended up being. >>

But anyway, I'm totally getting HeartGold. I gotta! I loooove Ho-oh and I had Gold back in the day, so... yeah.

I guess I'm the only one who isn't excited about these two games... the last Pokemon game I liked was Sapphire. I couldn't even bear myself to finish Diamond. <_<

If I were ever to get one of these, it'd definitely be Soul Silver. But I'm not really looking forward to it... I have other things to look forward to, such as Rune Factory 3.

High-five, my favorite gen is the third one and Pearl was really painful to play through, never finished it.

I have tried HG on emulators however, and it felt almost exactly like the old games.

Are they still as slow-paced as Diamond and Pearl were? I hope not...

What? She's just asking a question. Shouldn't affect you at all.

I didn't notice if HG was particularly slow-paced. Didn't find Pearl slow-paced either, just incredibly dull.

Definitely looking forward to the release of these two...dunno which one i would get tho :\. I'm definitely more of a 1st-3rd gen pokemon fan though...everything else after that progressively got worse in my opinion in certain ways. Of course, that didn't stop it from still being a fun game! :D

What I meant more than anything is that it takes way too long for the game to respond to input... then again, I'm used to the relatively fast-paced gameplay in Ruby and Sapphire, and I have a severe lack of patience to the point where small things like that irk me. XD

Simply bad*** I can't wait for this game. I was excited when fire red was remade on the gba. I'm currently playing that right now. Gold was mine back in the day as was the original red. I only cared about red and gold. So seeing gold being remade is like a dream come true! I can't wait to have a PWNAGELAX(Snorlax) following me around! :) *jumps up and down in giddy excitement.*

This is because the only way to get a Snorlax to follow you on the world map is by convincing it you're delicious. Snorlax is naturally RIPPED AS HELL, so exercise isn't really his thing...
