Tekken 6 What do you think of the story? spoilers ahead

Its seems all of the destruction that Jin has cause was because he need to fill the world up with negative energy so that he can fight Azazel, and get rid of the devil gene that is inside of him. When he does defeats Azazel his body is found. Its seems that he is likely alive as people in his family don't die easy. With these events I can see Tekken 7 coming with a hell of a lot of plot possibilities.

Hey, i like Tekken's story. It makes alot more sense than the other fighting games i play D;

I don't really know anything since after Tekken 4 though -3-'

Of course Tekken games are about the fighting, buts its story good. For the first time there is a story mode in the game that is call scenario campaign were you go around kicking ass with cut scenes in between every level. Its takes some hours to complete, and is a good way to earn cash for your characters. Check it out at Youtube if you want. I can't wait to get the PSP version that coming out next 11/24.

Hear hear! I tried reading up on it once, and I think it damaged the narrative center of my brain. Soul Calibur is digressing similarly, too, though, it's hard to take it seriously anymore. By SCVI it'll probably be completely unreadable, so congrats to Tekken for apparently not being quite that bad... Anyone can feel free to disagree with my opinion, but it just feels like these Namco fighting games have just gone through too many generations of writers to remain even remotely coherent...

Tekken story makes perfect sense, you guys are over thinking it.

From Tekken 1-6 the Mishimas beat each other up and take turns dominating the world. None of the other characters matter when it comes to Tekken story cept the Mishima's and the demons they fight.

Tekken 1 - Kazuya wins tourny, takes over Mishima Zaibatsu, and throws Heihachi down a cliff
Tekken 2 - Heihachi wins tourny, takes back Mishima Zaibatsu, and throws Kazuya in volcano.
Tekken 3 - Jin beats Ogre
Tekken 4 - Kazuya comes back and kicks everyone's ass but loses to Devil Jin. Devil Jin flies away and Heihachi apparently dies.
Tekken 5 - Heihachi comes back. Jin beats everyone kills Jinpachi, takes over Mishima Zaibatsu, and becomes super villian.

I have to disagree; Soul Calibur is the more lucid, of the two, imo. Though I think I'm just a bit biased, since SC's plot is actually, you know, INTERESTING, and makes sense within it's own fumbled continuity.

I just played Tekken 6 and think it's a freaking awesome game D:

As of the story....i don't know, i just saw a huge robot thingy, then a Jin who is apparently the new leader of Mishima or something and he looks all bossy and proud unlike the Jin i first knew, and some FREAKING MONSTER that made me think i was playing Mortal Kombat. It was fun though 8D

Neither of them started out bad, but by SCIII stuff started degrading. I don't think it's hard to see for anyone who liked the original story how completely out of control and awkward it's gotten...

But that's what makes it so fun. At this point, the swords are apparently deities that are both trying to eat a dozen cakes. That's twelve cakes. And that's just terrible the planet.

Aside from the fighting in Tekken the story has really develop in the games. Heihachi throws Kazuya into a ravine because he wants son to become strong. Kazuya was near death, so he makes a deal with the Devil so that he can live, and get revenge. Kazuya kicks Heihachi's ass in T1. Kazuya takes control over family business, and he get Jun pregnant. (How the hell did they ever go together? Was it a one night stand, or something?) Heihachi kicks Kazuya's ass, and throws him down a volcano in T2. Before T3 the Devil attacks Jun, but fails. Ogre comes and murders her, and others. Jin go to Heihachi for training, and years later defeats Ogre. Heihachi betrays Jin. (no surprise there) The Devil Jin takes over, and Jin kicks his ass, and flies off. 20 years later Kazuya comes back in T4. In the tournament Jin fights Heihachi, and Kazuya, and owns them both. He was going to kill them, but Jun spirit tells Jin to stop. In T5 Jacks robots attack Kazuya, and Heihachi. They fought together as father, and son, but Kazuya left Heihachi to died. People in that family don't die easy to he live. Jin is having nightmares, because Jinpachi escapes with the Devil gene. Jin is going in the tournament, and he defeats some people, but loses Hwoarang. The Devil takes over, and Hwoarang loses immediately afterward. Jin goes on, and defeats Jinpachi , and takes the family business. He starts wars, and Kazuya takes over the rival business. T6 starts, and it from there now. This plot is so epic. I thinks its better than SC. I doubt this is the end of Tekken. There shall be Tekken 7 years later. By the way T6 has a kick ass soundtrack. Fallen Colony, Mystical Forest, and Electric Fountains are the best themes in the game.

I love how the requirement to take over the whole family business is just to enter the tournament and beat the crap out of every other family member :P

Don't really care about the story of Soul Calibur. I stopped caring when I they revived Maxi in the second game. It's only good to know the story if you wanna know character connections (ex. Cervantes and Ivy are father-daughter). Besides that, it's a fun casual fighting game.

Tekken, on the other hand, I actually plan to play it competitively. It's funny I payed attention to its "plot". The story has gone so wtf it's awesome, as shown by this:

Tekken 6 - Heihachi's illegitimate Half-Swedish child's adventures with his pink-haired Russian moe robot girl.
