Sega Planning to Re-Release Michael Jackson Moonwalker

Post by azureeagle »

Yup just as the title says. Currently Sega is debating over whether or not to re-release Moonwalker for PSN and Xbox Live Arcade ( No Reports saying that it will be for Wii, but there are rumors.)

I've made a poll so share your thoughts. Personally I think it will be a great addition to Xbox Live Arcade.

Well first it depends on which version since IIRC the genesis and arcade versions had differences between the versions.

Now there will be crybabies going on about what's morally right. But we live in lovely land where making money off the name of a dead man is the BEST thing to do. So I say yes they should re-release this game, it's fun little distraction (potentially), also I want to see people whine about this which part of me doubts they will, but the possibility of it means the possibility of fun.

Let me pull out my Genesis and see if it was any fun...

But in all honesty, if they updated the graphics, put the real songs in (instead of those 16-bit cell phone ringtones) and made the little girls run away while he says "I would never hurt a child", then it would be great!

Also, they'd have to use the arcade version, because a giant Michael Jackson robot is obligatory.

Btw, nice Dick Tracy signature azureeagle.

Assumed as much due to the picture shown in the article (though this isn't absolute proof, it is likely it's the genesis version.)

In that case I'd be iffy on the re-release solely for having less fun with that version.
