You guys do realize that there is no news about a second season right now, right? The big deal was a misunderstanding created by them acting like a rerun of the first season is actually something people care about. They even said in the announcement that there is nothing to say about a second season right now. Not only that, but the Haruhi-chan youtube special that was supposed to start streaming today was not done in time, and was instead posted with a video referencing the whole "Nice Boat" thing.

Yea, um...way to not read the rest of the thread? We already realized that about two weeks ago.

The only shot we have at happiness is if this whole thing turns out to be a joke and the 2nd season really does start airing in April. Given the tone of the series and that the first season was aired out of order and all, I think it's possible that this will happen. But it's a small possibility, and honestly I don't trust them at this point to get my hopes up on something that wasn't announced. But I still find it very hard to accept that a rerun of a show from 2006 was big enough news to get the cover of NewType, and warrant them to announce the announcement a month in advance.

The fact that they're rerunning it is a good sign, though. It's common for shows with timebreaks inbetween seasons like this to replay past installments.

its also a sign that there can be a Second season. Some times if a show gets Rerunned after be shown a long time ago, it usualy means they're making another season. or if the ending doesn't quiet seem to be the last episode.

We're being tided over, at the very least. Everyone look up Nyoron Churuya and Suzumiya Haruhi-chan no Yuutsu. Two spinoff web-anime based on comical 4koma manga. The latter even has the same voice cast.

Saaaay, for the Haruhi-Chan stuff, it seems like there's only episodes 5-8... Are they not making the first 4 episodes or did the youtube channel remove them? =/ It seems like they removed one of the Churuya vids.

Because of piracy concerns, they're rotating the episodes. They uploaded the 1st episode of Churuya, for example, a little over a week ago.
