Re: Avatar:The Last Air Bender
Well... considering it is the only good thing to come out of Nickelodeon in the last like 10 years it's ok in my book.

They don't air until the 17th-19th. Also, they seem to be the final episodes.

REALLY?! O_O omg! wait thats so weird though. those episodes are still part of the third book and there are four elements. can anyone provide evidence as to wheter or not that these are the final episodes of avatar.
I think that it is weird that Nick would end such a popular show. i mean nick NEEDS THE RATINGS...BADLY. all of their shows are bombing right now. i just dont get it...

Re: Avatar:The Last Air Bender
I like this show; have missed some episodes of the third season but been expecting to see the last episodes. As for your question Terijama, though for the moment I don't have a link to provide this information, if I'm not mistaken the same producers (or was it writers?) confirmed some time ago this would be the last season for their story.
Pesonally, I like this idea; I don't want it to be exploited, it should better just keep the way it is without random charcaters popping out with a lame excuse for yet another episode.
Though what doesn't really excite me is that I heard Shyamalan was making a movie for Avatar...Why? Really...

I dont want it to be over kill either. but i thought it was weird that they wouldnt have four seasons to corrispond to the four elements. and i thought it was weird that nick would cancel one of their top shows.
yeah M. Night Shyamalan is making a film. However, it is a LIVEACTION one. which i dont get and that pisses me off more than anything!

Nickelodeon isn't canceling Avatar, it's ending of it's own free will. And like FallenDragon said, it is better that it ends before it drags on.

Re: Avatar:The Last Air Bender
I don't exactly remember where I read it, but it was Nickelodeon who made the announcement; that decission was probably taken by the creators of the show.

I don't remember exactly when, but if I'm not mistaken it was when the 3rd season was going to be aired; they made the announcement saying it'd be the last part of the story.

aw that sucks
they didnt even do the chapter for air (wind). im crushed. i think one more season wouldnt have hurt them. they should have thought that out a bit better.

Re: Avatar:The Last Air Bender
I am surprised to hear that the third season's the final one, I was naturally expecting four like Terejima.
But, I agree that it should end while it's still considered good in the eyes of many. Man, I really need to catch up on this series, I really like it.

Re: Avatar:The Last Air Bender
There's a surprising amount of people I know that love Avatar =D
It'd be pointless to have a fourth book- Aang already knows Airbending, and in all the other books the element corresponded with the one he learned that season (well, that's one way of looking at why they wouldn't make a fourth season). 'Sides, looking at some of the episodes in season 3, it's a good thing the series is ending, a few were just too silly. . . at least the previews for the ending look amazing, I think it'll go out in style. (The Firebending Masters episode didn't flow very well in my opinion).
