That all depends on what you want. If you want fuzzy graphics with innovative gameplay then you want a DS. If you want good graphics with gameplay you are used to then you want a PSP. Also take in to consideration what kind of games you like. There are more RPGs out on the PSP right now. There are more arcade and action style games on the DS. It majorally depends on what you like.

well, i voted psp all the way and ive played both the ds and psp but i like psp more because of it having more features even though the ds is backwards compatible and is touch screen, but the psp has better graphics (IMO), can play movies that are out for it, can play mp3 or music on it, and you can store photos in it so if you get bored of playing games on the psp or just dont have any(just in case you do get bored) you can watch a movie on the , listen to music, or look at some pictures, where on the ds all you can do is play games or chat (but its not ever fun since not a lot of people have a ds)and since the distance for chatting on the ds is short its better to just talk to each other instead of typing stuff, but if the distance was longer then it would actualy be cool cuz then the ds would almost be like a cell phone but since the distance is not it was pointless to make chatrooms when you can just talk to the people yourself(IMO). but im not saying that ds sucks very badly its just that i prefer psp more than a ds but of course they are both still fun to play so whoever asked wat he should get i reccommend the psp

True, yet like you said, Pictochat is limiting, but at the same time, it alows you to draw and make different things that you wouldn't be able to do by talking.piko24 wrote:well, i voted psp all the way and ive played both the ds and psp but i like psp more because of it having more features even though the ds is backwards compatible and is touch screen, but the psp has better graphics (IMO), can play movies that are out for it, can play mp3 or music on it, and you can store photos in it so if you get bored of playing games on the psp or just dont have any(just in case you do get bored) you can watch a movie on the , listen to music, or look at some pictures, where on the ds all you can do is play games or chat (but its not ever fun since not a lot of people have a ds)and since the distance for chatting on the ds is short its better to just talk to each other instead of typing stuff, but if the distance was longer then it would actualy be cool cuz then the ds would almost be like a cell phone but since the distance is not it was pointless to make chatrooms when you can just talk to the people yourself(IMO). but im not saying that ds sucks very badly its just that i prefer psp more than a ds but of course they are both still fun to play so whoever asked wat he should get i reccommend the psp

But anyway, what is your fav. ds/psp game so far

p.s. Is anyone joined on the G4TV.com website

As for me, I would (if I had the money to spare) grab a PSP. Why you ask, I think that over-all the PSP is better than the DS. It has wi-fi capabilities, better graphics, more games, mp3 capabilities, ability to view and store clips, movies, and quite simply it is just much prettier than the DS.

I don't terribly mind fixing it myself, but it does get a bit tedious after fixing three posts in the same topic. I'm just pointing this out as a helpful reminder, I'm not trying to criticize anyone.

Reasons for getting a PSP that make no sense:
-better graphics. The "this system has better graphics so it's better!!!!!!!!!1!!!11" argument has never made sense. If it did, people would not be buying re-makes of old games (like FF I & II for the GBA) and you would not see any 2D ugly games (like, say, Phantom Brave) even selling.
-it has better games! How many systems have had lots of amazing games on or near launch time? Not many. Take the PS2 for example - it didn't have very many good launch titles; all the really good stuff took its time to come out. Just because the DS is "lacking" in "good" games now does not mean it will be that way in the future.
Reasons for getting the PSP that are legit:
-all of the extra fancy things it can do. While there are other devices that do some of them better (iPod >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> PSP in terms of music), it's still kinda cool.
-The Wi-Fi capabilities. Nintendo seriously needs to get their act together. If they'd embrace this whole "online play that gamers don't want" thing it could prove pretty profitable. They're just stupidly stubborn in that area it seems.
Why I think the DS is better than the PSP:
-the PSP is freakin' expensive.
-the PSP came from Sony (I'm expecting a lawsuit involving the PSP within a year)
-the DS is more innovative.
-Nintendo >>>>> Sony
-the DS is backwards compatible
-the DS does not use discs

Yes i agree that the ds is more innovative, but it is very hard to control with a d-pad. But your reasons: nintendo>>>>>sony and its from sony are not reasons just merely opinions. I'm not trying to argue or anything i'm just saying just because its from a certain company doesn't mean it sucksArdo wrote:

I agree with all of you, except that the D-pad isn't that hard to control with. Though psp does have better graphhics, it's not necesarilly better. That's the main reason that a lot of people are buying it. It's all opinions, and mine's just the only one that counts......and Bandai's, Nintendo's, CC2's,ummm ....nm.
