I'd say the best part of this anime are the awesome ass-kicking sheep and killer koalas.

It's not actually BAD, sometimes quite funny but it's definitely not my cup of tea. If you like campy animes set in a medieval fantasy setting and alot of pretty boys and yaoi undertones then you might want to take a look at it.

In otherwords, its a cheap Inuyasha without the monk.

Inuyasha isn't campy, its just incredibly stupid, and had pathetic story and character development. Its like watching one gigantic filler. And they had no awesome sheep.

Inuyasha is BAD. Kyo kara Maoh is tolerable unless you're a huge homophobe.

InuYasha isnt campy and a waste. I guess people with taste would only know that. KKM was humorous. stupid at points yes, but we all forget in Japan WHERE THESE SHOWS AND COMICS ARE MADE. the ones that people IN AMERICA seem to hate the most are most popular in Japan. and that is why they continue to get made. So yes they are GOOD. Just in america people are different and dont know what Good is anymore. and i am sick of people trashing them. We are so used to shows being over so quickly and the next new thing comes along and we move on and etc. we dont stick to what we know anymore. we just follow the fade. Fact if InuYasha lasted this long IT IS GOOD. KKM lasted 70 something episodes and just got picke dup in Japan for another 20. SO YES THE SHOWS ARE GOOD!

It's just a mater of opinion, everyone has different tastes wether is anime, music, movies or you name it; just because a person doesn't share your opinion doesn't mean they don't have taste.

Agreed that all these wacky shows we like to watch come from Japan, but as I said, it's just a matter of what a person wants to watch and what they like, you can't force them just because somoeone said it's good. But you know, anime isn't really a great hype in Japan (at least not anymore if it was), in fact anime is more popular in other countries now.

The ratings are decreasing, it's not what it used to be a few years ago I suppose; though I don't mean it's "OMG NO ONE WATCHES IT ANYMOAR!" but it's no longer the most popular thing.

First of all, I'm not even American. I'm Filipino, and I live in Southeast Asia, in an archipelago that nobody cares about. I generally despise American reality TV.

Second of all, understand that your popular shows will be bashed REGARDLESS of what you think about it. If you think Inuyasha gets alot of flak, you should see the popular Shonen series, ESPECIALLY Dragonball Z. There will be bias wherever you look. And while I hate Inuyasha, it is hardly my most hated series. I've seen a lot of crappy anime, Inuyasha doesn't even come close to my bottom tier.

Thirdly why generalizing people on bad taste because of differing opinions? Yes, I'm biased against Rumiko Takahasi's work, but just because I have an opinion against Inuyasha makes me a bad judge of taste? I love Bleach, hate Naruto. Love Gundam 0079, X, Seed, 00 hate Wing and Destiny. Love Haruhi, Haibane Renmei, hate Wolf's Rain. Love Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, hate Sailor Moon. Can you even tell what my taste is now? You're free to defend your own series, but I recommend you try not to bash other people's opinions themselves, the others will just classify you as a fanboy/girl and label your arguments as irrelevant.

Also on other note, I can't speak much for anime ratings. I do know that Japan has some of the funniest game shows ever
