I was wondering about the Sage palace PK tourney, now I spent around I'd say 50,000 GP teaching each ally all the healing spells they could learn, which makes them pretty awsome in the arena, rendering status effects harmless and being abled to revive then heal dead characters. Now the issue here is the clear fact, now their making MY status effects pointless and healing THE ENEMIES minions. but that is if they get to keep their skills during the sage palace tournement. Now I'd love to go against Taihaku with Saku already using OrLei Zas and OrAni Zot on me, and Endrance using Ol Repth to keep Taihaku in the game and Rip Maen-ing Saku after I FINALLY kill her, just to resume the chaos, but the question is can they? I mean, Repth was added onto Kuhn and Pi's skill lists when you went against them in Vol. 1 but when you got them back it was gone, or in my case, I kept inflicting Pi, Kuhn and Anteres with Curse but, dispite having Rip Maj they never healed it. It it the same case with this fight and the other ally fights in the tournoment, even if the character has Rip spells they'll let the status effects keep trumping their teammates, or even though they have Ol Repth they won't heal?
Also in volume 1 almost ALL arena enemies had Repth, and later in Volume 2 Ul and Ol Repth was added to this list of standered spells but never the Rip spells, even if both allies were dead they'd never use Rip Maen etc. What spells were added to the standered Arena fodder this volume?
Plus alot of the level 100 enemies in the arena won't use their classes stronger skills, with even, say Razor's Edge and Wirlwind appearing rarely, dispite enemies using Disaster Sword(Phantom Balmung, Phantom Orca, one of Hiiragi's groupies) and Chaotic Strike(I think one of Hiiragi's groupies or I may just be remembering Alkaid using it that fight) before the normal arena even opened, so in this volume the classes ultimate skills are unleashed at the early level of 21 for melee classes(although a bit pricy then) and 26 for the mages but will we ever see the enemies in the arena using them? Or will we be lucky to just see Disaster Sword, OrVak Don and Chaotic Strike more often?

For Arena battles I believe that all party members that joined Haseo when he fights against them will only use abilities they know naturally.
So even if you gave Endrance healing spells beforehand he will never use them during a arena match against Haseo. However after you win the match causing the party member to rejoin they will still rejoin with every spell you taught them.

It doesn't matter because even though they are on his team, Taihaku fights you solo.

Don't you still fight Anteres though? I saw some pics of someone fighting him in the arena and also I heard you fought Matsu also, and I KNOW he wouldn't bail, so will they have axess to healing or no?Jimbob wrote:It doesn't matter because even though they are on his team, Taihaku fights you solo.
