i think kite, balmung, and orca (as dothackers) try to keep "The World" running smooth and stop whatever is trying to destroy it (like aida). it might not be the original players using the characters but i like to think so. perhaps aida was trying to discredit the dothackers when it used invincible copies of them in the arena with sirius.

It was just copying them using the mirage of deceits epitaph,and it chose them because the other epitpahs were interested in them,
and the Azure Knights only attack AIDA because they are told to.

Because Atoli's epitaph of Innis, THE MIRAGE OF DECEIT, was stolen, the AIDA used the epitaph to create illusions of the two azure knights, Azure Orca and Azure Balmung. Aura did create the Azure Knights, but you aren't supposed to know that yet.
