I'm not big on platformers. I haven't really played once since Crash Bandicoot, but I've heard Ratchet is a good series.

I love the Ratchet series. It has a insane variety of guns and other...ejactables. The controls are (well, now) very good, nice camera, it's actually FUNNY (you don't see that to often from games).

to sum the game up,u r ratchet and clank(most of the time, clank stays on ur back as a helipack)and u basically rocket planet to planet and complte various goals,all while getting to blow s*** up! really! plus there is a lot of replay value, like making of videos and even commercials from when the game first came out. the best secret in the original 4 was in the 4th one. if u got evrything u could have ratchet in a ninja outfit!

1.ratchet and clank
2. ratchet and clank:going commando(no, not like that)
3.ratchet and clank: up your arsenal
4.ratchet: deadlocked
my opinion is that the 2nd is the best.

Hmm....it's a tough decision for me. I love 2, but after playing 3 and 4, I HATE the older controls. Second was the most funny though. Otherwise, I would suggest the third. The control scheme makes the game much more enjoyable...but you'll be missing out on a ton of the jokes. Actually, start with Commando, then go to Arsenal, you'll love both even more.

the reason its called that name is because ratchet literally becomes a commando. thats just insomniac and their funny sense of humor. the other title of the game in other countries was locked and loaded. not as funny as going commando.

Other countries had the name changed because the name refers to being naked. Naked. That's what the subtitle refers to.
