Whats your favorite Final Fantasy? 7-12

Post by triedge=death »

Just like the title says. Mine would have to be 7. It's awsome. The movie's cool too. I love them all though. They are one of the greatest series ever!!!!

Tatics Advan- wait, it's only the numbered ones.

How about the thir- wait, only seven to twelve.

This poll fails.

I'm sorry. if you like any of the old ones or the non-numbered ones then thats ok. Spread your opinion. Tatics advanced and 3 are also great games in the series.

I haven't played 10, but my favorite is 12. 7 is overrated and beaten to death.

Tactics: Satan Edition is NOT a good game, I'm sorry. Tactics, yes, absolutely a good game. The GBA version? Not at all. I had to stop playing due to the emotional trauma it put me through.

My favorite would have to be IX. It just has such a great story, and the skill point system is very enjoyable to play around with. I only wish your party's actions were carried out immediately, like they are in other installments. Nothing is worse than casting a Cure spell, only to have the intended target die before the spell is activated.

IF you wanted to vote for tactics advance you should vote for 12 since they are both set in the same world, and part of the Ivalice Storyline.

No one is going for FFX?

Nah, 12 got boring for me later on. Just because they're set in the same place doesn't mean that they're both good.

I like the one where the player end's up saving the world and killing the baddie's. Ya, that one.

I've only played 10 and 12, so I will have to go with 12.

10 was good, ya, but sky pirate. summon's were cool, but sky pirate.

and, i agree with the masses which have more than a braincell which isn't controlled by fanboy/girl-ism when i say that 7 is probably beaten to death.

Particualrly, aerith's death. Ya that death was beaten to death.

Okay, 7 was my favorite. Tactics is my fav. So i would say BOTH!! 8 blew chunks and was boring. X was great, would be third, never played 11, heard it was alright. 12 sucked and i stopped playing 3 hours in. Oh and i found no point for X-2.

This poll is a bit pointless, its like comparing which movie is better Alien or Aliens?

One is a suspense horror, the other is all action but they both bloody good. I wouldn't be surpised that if this poll was taken on a worldwide scale they should be around about even.

Though I wouldnt put FFXI against FF Series at all, if they rework the game to be much like WOW (in otherwords you can actually solo, earn experience, get to choose your realms etc) then this game would be exactly the same as WOW except in the East.

Most of you dont seem to understand that WOW has rewritten the rules of a MMORPG, you can solo most of the monsters in the actual environment and encourages exploration you cant do that with most of the other MMORPGs, unless your in a particular group. Take for example the Priest class....

Woah, Luckydan, both your posts so far in this topic are just....wow.

How the heck does them being in the same world qualify 12 as equally good?

FFT and FF12 are about as similar as a cat and a gameboy.

They're different games with different story and somewhat different game-mechanics.

They aren't all equally popular. How many people in the world like FF7 and how many people in the world like FF5?
There's sure as hell more fans of FF7 ;P

Since Final Fantasy is a big and generally popular series, it's quite obvious that people will want to look at what game people like the most in a series. It's like asking "Do you like the old .hack games or the GU games the most", only Final Fantasy is much bigger.

It didn't strike you that they wouldn't want to make FFXI a wow-copy? ;P
As far as I know, FFXI is mostly a multiplayer-adaption of FFXII (without the gambit system and whatnot). That would've been neat, had FFXI not ended up with such a boring movement-in-combat-system ;P
In fact, that's the reason I've yet to try FFXII, as it just doesn't seem appealing to me.

So, Luckydan, basically, your two posts are....wow. I'm surprised I'm the first one who replies like this ;D

Wait, what? :O
Explain :o
I've never heard anyone draw similarities between FFXII and .hack :o
If they're notable, that may just get me to go get FFXII :O

Well as long as your not looking for an arguement or flamebaiting I'm happy to discuss. *cough* Wander *cough*

Yes but if you want to support FFTA, or at least wish to support the Ivalice storyline the person in question should show support for such a game, you should vote for FF12. They are all set in same world, FF12 the main hero was meant to be Bosh since the creators of Vagarant Story wanted it that way, but were force to add in a girly guy like Van. Sure you may not like FF12 but wait till the sequel FF12:RW thats a pretty good game.

This is like a one-site poll, it needs to be a WW(world wide) poll to get an more accurate result. It represents the views of one-site and you cant use the information for this result.

I could direct you to Kotaku site and redirect to the board where millions of ppl want a rm of FF7 but SE said they refuse probably if they done a WW poll we could see what FF remade.

Too me I think they wanted the results of the WOW but Square-Enix went the wrong way of doing it. If they have done the similar things Blizzard have done.... Ah they were trying to be revolutionary by balancing the worlds by auto choosing the realms, more multi party play etc, however this is more like a copy of Everquest/RO than WOW and quite strange for Square-Enix to go this route when all there FF games are more for the casual pick up and go play. Like WOW easy to play, hard to master.

Thanks, I was scared of coming back on this site, cause of particular pyromanics that are here.
