Doppelganger location.
any field where u stay 10+ mins should make him him pop after that just run around the area until u see a red pointer like if enemies are close to u (but red >.> )
the screen will start acting weird and music will start
btw u dont need to have an awakening rdy when u meet him but it is highly recommended.
o right and if youve finished the game u can just put the last word as moonlight hell already be up

Go to any random field and yes it has to be a field, not a dungeon. Now, some say he just comes out at a random time no matter what and others say you need to stand still doing nothing for about 10 mins. For me, I never see the guy unless I stand around for 10 mins. After that just go look around the field for him. And he warps around the place so if you dont find him right away just keep looking.
It's easier to find him if the field is the night or thunderstorm ones. (I've been experimenting with that, and I believe it to be true. He appears a hell of a lot slower in the daytime, and twilight weather fields I haven't ever seen him even after waiting like two hours.)
Oh god, that thief stole the word _____! But it's not like we could say something else, like picture. Because people definately always use the word _____.

If you would have found him in the first game you could have gotten the three most powerful weapons in the second game as early as you wanted. Doppelganger is a monster that looks exactly like Haseo. He is always 8 levels higher than you even if your maxed in levels, he always has your exact same HP and he is always significantly stronger than you. What I did was I went to keyword Elegant Your Shadow and cleared all monsters. After that I waited for 10 minutes and ran around through the whole field. He was there. The same keywords are used in both games to find him. He seems to be easier to find in the second game.

I'm SO HAPPY!
So, tonight I went to Theta: Dreaming Your Alga Grass with Endrance and Bo on a loot getting mission, and as soon as I warped in, I checked my animal radar, and what did I see? Sleipner, the oft sought after beast that can make defeating Dopple-chan a breeze! So, I defeated all the monsters in the field, kicked some chims, and fed Mecha Grunty; I then kicked Sleipner and settled down to wait; expecting to wait 10 minutes, I was pleasantly surprised that I only had to wait 5. I got on my bike, and crashed into Dopple, let Sleipner do its work, then I unleashed a HELLA BIG Divine Awakening (Plasma Blade) and PWNED Dopple-chan. I got Heine's Zero and another key item, and now I can say I have all three of Dopple-chan's weapons! xD

DANCE, KAKASHI-SENSEI!
I believe the Divine with the flaming sword is stronger than the Plasma Blade one...
anyway, since when was the requirements JUST wait ten minutes?
For me he never appears unless I follow these requirements:
Kill All monsters on field, finishing with a full Morale Guage.
Wait IN PLACE 10 minutes while still having a full Morale Guage.
I'm not saying that's how it HAS to be, but that's the only way it works for me.
Or just use the Moonlight 3rd keyword.
