Graphics aside, would you prefer spending your time playing .hack or Final Fantasy 7? Why? :D

Check this link to see how much you have spent on the FF series: http://dothackers.net/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=11075

What is your fave Final Fantasy or .hack game?

I liked Final Fantasy 6 and .hack GU Vol. 1 the most so far.

(if you haven't plaid any Final Fantasy games just say your favorite game compared to .hack)

I know, lol... it's between mashing the confirm button (ff 1-10.2) or you walk around and don't have to press anything (ff12-?) <(^.^<) <(^.^)> (>^.^)> New Sig

.Hack. I like Final Fantasy 7 but it just felt like there was a lot of wasted potential there.

.hack obviously.

you cant realy compair ff7 to gu cus ff7 came out soooooo long ago that the battle system that gu or ff12 (closest comparison to atb in a ff) didnt exist then.

I'm the only one so far to have picked FF7. . .

Oh well. . .

I don't care much for GU.
Probably the only thing keeping me on it is the .Hack label. . .

. . . and Endrance.

.hack, But then again I'd choose any thing over FF any day especially over FFVII.

This argument is clearly onesided. Final Fantasy VII is a PS1 game. Why would I play it when there are better PS2 games out there? There's no contest here. :|

Worse than Atoli, Haseo, Yowkow, and Endrance fandom combined. Probably worse than all the characters combined. Someone should quote Kouen. I think it's kinda petty, but the FF fandom just kills it for me.

Well, my dumb-ass friend once said" FF7 is the greatest game of all time". That's why I don't play... I've never played a FF game. Just a lil of 8 and it was kinda fun, but I got bored... But, I think he changed his mind, now.

Dot Hack FTW. For all eternity...

Then how can you judge it fairly?

With the story and gameplay mechanics, there's no way FFVII could beat .hack. .hack has the elements of mystery and intrigue that keep you playing. FFVII's story is original, but it's not very thought-provoking. And a lot of the characters feel two-dimensional to me, whereas I end up feeling connected to the characters in .hack, whether it be IMOQ or GU.

I think it's because .hack has realistic characters and, if the technology used to create The World really existed, the story could actually happen. All the "supernatural" occurrences in .hack just come about as a result of mind over matter and can be explained rationally.

And philosophy! Hell yes!

I prefer FFX to FFVII anyway. *gets shot*

EDIT: ...But I realize looking at it like this won't change the minds of people who worship FFVII and don't even know what .hack is. ._.
