Final Fantasy 7 Vs .Hack
Graphics aside, would you prefer spending your time playing .hack or Final Fantasy 7? Why?

XD Mr. Classbear, I respect ya that much more! Come on guys, 15 views and 2 votes? Put in your 2 cents and end the vicious cycle of fan boys screaming about theres no better boss than Sephiroth... (I have no problem with him but there have been better games since then.)

While we are on the subject...
What is your fave Final Fantasy or .hack game?
I liked Final Fantasy 6 and .hack GU Vol. 1 the most so far.
(if you haven't plaid any Final Fantasy games just say your favorite game compared to .hack)

Worse than Atoli, Haseo, Yowkow, and Endrance fandom combined. Probably worse than all the characters combined. Someone should quote Kouen. I think it's kinda petty, but the FF fandom just kills it for me.Kouen wrote:But FF7 has a rabid fangirl/fanboy fandom. : /
Well, my dumb-ass friend once said" FF7 is the greatest game of all time". That's why I don't play... I've never played a FF game. Just a lil of 8 and it was kinda fun, but I got bored... But, I think he changed his mind, now.Passé wrote:This argument is clearly onesided. Final Fantasy VII is a PS1 game. Why would I play it when there are better PS2 games out there? There's no contest here.
Dot Hack FTW. For all eternity...

With the story and gameplay mechanics, there's no way FFVII could beat .hack. .hack has the elements of mystery and intrigue that keep you playing. FFVII's story is original, but it's not very thought-provoking. And a lot of the characters feel two-dimensional to me, whereas I end up feeling connected to the characters in .hack, whether it be IMOQ or GU.
I think it's because .hack has realistic characters and, if the technology used to create The World really existed, the story could actually happen. All the "supernatural" occurrences in .hack just come about as a result of mind over matter and can be explained rationally.
And philosophy! Hell yes!
I prefer FFX to FFVII anyway. *gets shot*
EDIT: ...But I realize looking at it like this won't change the minds of people who worship FFVII and don't even know what .hack is. ._.
