Azure Kite Question (Spoilers)

So, pretty much everyone knows that Azure Kite is not evil, and he simply attacks anyone who seems to be a threat to Aura or the system. Yet in volume one of GU, Yata shows Haseo a clip of Azure Kite attacking what seems to be 3 inocent players, even going so far as data draining one of them. Why did he do this?

Either Ovan was there,behind them,the video was fake,or Azure Kite cared about the virus infecting one of them.

Hmm... I think that scene was pretty much like the cathedral one, where Haseo gets his ass kicked by Kite. You also see one of those after you beat Sakaki. Ovan shows up, but leaves really quick, while AK arrives late, and fights whoever is there, instead of Ovan.

Apparently, the player AK Data Drained was infected with Midori's disease. So he was really just doing his job, as usual.

Azure Kite wouldn't care about Midori's disease (if she had one). He was built solely to take care of the AIDA and nothing else.

As explained in the Perfect Guidebook, players attacked by AFK were infected by AIDA, even though they didn't realize it themselves and may not have shown any symptoms.

And for Ravaan and anyone else who wants to know, Midori's IRL disease had nothing to do with The World. She'd never even played the game before she fell ill.

Two choices:
1: Video is a fake crated by Ovan to make Kite look evil
2: Kite drainded them to........train.

What do you mean "How does that make sense"? From what I got, AIDA can infect people and atleast temporarly not be seen. Azure Kite just notices them.

And Phyllo was a mistake. Ovan had been in the area a second before, so Azure Kite fought Phyllo thinking he was Ovan. He stopped when he realised the mistake.

you'd think with AIDA gone, Aura would finish the azures, or at least make them unretarded(I like their looks, they are just soooooo stupid and mindless)

There's no need. The Wedding Scenes and the emails you receive from them they're already evolving independantly.

They aren't even that stupid really. They just can't speak, very well. (They can call out skill names though, I think.)

The disease wasn't part of his job.
Just like routine bugs,such as small(not AIDA releted or threatening to Aura) glitches and Haseo's 100 level upgrade from twin blade to flicker,are not part of his job.
Only AIDA,and anyone between him and Ovan.
And if anything else appears that threatens Aura,then that gets added to the mix as well.

I wasn't sure if that should have been in spoiler tags,so I went with the "In doubt,spoiler it" way of thinking.
It's all about Azure Kites "job",for those of you who don't want to look.

Except he apparantly does fix routine glitches if he has nothing else to do as seen in Roots. It might not be part of his prime goal but he can if he chooses to. This was before the AIDA became a problem though.

Yeah. I think "unfinished" refers just to aesthetics, such as their appearances and speech. From what they do say (in corrupted text), they seem like fairly decent recreations. They're not that dumb, maybe blind or something though...

well, the fact that AK show Haseo while trying to shoot Ovan says something, Ovan is a HUGE target, how did he have to shoot through haseo, especialyl cause the biggest part of Ovan is the arm, and, that would also be the best target, but, meh, that is just my opinion

It's Haseo's own fault for getting in the way of that shot. I mean it goes THROUGH ALL OBSTACLES! In actuality he probably didn't care about Haseo's safety. I he attacked him so he was probably identifies as hostile to Kite
