a better multi-weapon?

Post by slaveoficetea »

Hey I was thinking about haseo and I think he chose his classes pretty well.
I don't think I can do much better except I would have broadsword be my third class instead.

Yeah, Haseo picked a very balanced job. He has fast attacks, slow attacks, and sweeping attacks. He's pretty much the best close-range fighter you could ask for, but until you get  Xth form he's horrible against fast ranged attacks like three goblin mages and you try to solo them *grumble*.

If The World R:2 was real, almost everyone would choose Adept Rogues. You can choose a nice variety of weapons to create your own cool strategy and change your battle style as it looks fit. And indeed, Haseo's choice was an awesome one...Duals for rapid attacks, Broad for strong ones, and Scythe for long distance.

I like having more focused stats, though. And weapon customization helps you vary your style even if you only have one class...

Also, Xth form is broken. No class is supposed to have that kind of range, except through charging or using SP. And for the latter, some broadswords do just fine, I think.

Actually, doesn't the scythe preform a sweeping attack around the character? I thought it was supposed to suck against long range attacks.

The scythe is mainly just to deal with multiple enemies at once, so the range is at medium.

Haseo did choose his character's weapons really well: twin blades for quick attacks, edge punisher has AOE (area of effect) damage as well as increased attack power and flick reaper Looks <note I do not have the game yet> like it can take on multiple enemies at a time at medium range.

Overall his character has pretty good balance. And yes, if .hack was an actual MMO I believe there would be a whole bunch of rogues (I would have at least one personally).

even tho i have all three games, ive been waiting for the english versions,
and therefore avoided getting ANY info about vol 2 or 3, but now i got too curious.

what exatly are the forms that Haseo gets ? (all of them)

1) Normal (Twin Blade)
2) the extension one (Twin Blade+BroadSword)

3)? (is this the scythe form and does it look the same as in //ROOTS ?)

4)?? (does he get more than 3 forms ?)

and what form is the one i use on my avatar/signature ^_____^

its not really spoiler, but just in case...

In volume one, he starts off in third form. he gets data drained and ends up going back to level one and first form. he is a multi-weapon, or as the english version says, to my annoyance... "Adept Rogue." He has a choice from all the classes, each of which have a certain point price... he can only spend 4 points. twin blade is one, edge punisher is one, and flick reaper is two. in volume two, he gets his second class upgrade and gets all three forms. in volume three, he is infected by AIDA and hackers restore him, causing an upgrade that was not supposed to happen. this gives him Xth Form, which allows him to have twin swords, heavy blade, scythe, and dual guns. i hope that helps...

oh, and that is xth form in your sig.
