People have already expressed their annoyance so I'm probably going to regret getting up in arms over this but I just gotta throw in my own sunshine:

Seriously, you really have to ask..? SPC-173, I'm going to let you in on a secret that isn't a secret. Children have nothing to do with it- that's just a front people use to passively ask other people to refrain from swearing. The real reason people don't like being bombarded by a wave of curses on the internet is because language is rich; there are so many verbs and synonyms other then f-bombs you can choose from to instil your point. Not all swearing is frowned upon, particularly in the company of people who know you well...but not everyone here knows you well- the internet is infamous for it's anonymity. We're communicating via text and text alone- there are no facial expressions or general body language signs to show any sense of 'hidden'/subtle emotional meaning behind our words... Cursing is an understood method of textually conveying negative feelings. You come across as very confrontational and juvenile in your writing and commenting behavior; swearing does not help your case. I know not whether it is intended but judging by how others have reacted to you here, I am not alone in feeling this way. Ultimately, you're not being edgy, defiant, or even funny by belting out sentences laced with swearing; you're merely demonstrating a lack of vocabulary and possibly a lack of wit.

It's fine to ask what this forum topic is about, albeit it's painfully lazy (and perhaps a little arrogant)to not take a few seconds out of your day to read the first post of this thread to figure out what it is about...but it would have worked better in your favor just to say 'hello, I'm not quite sure what everyone is talking about. Can someone please explain what this topic is for?" Good god, man. It isn't rocket science.
