1. I think PSP is more portable because of the shape and size.
2. I dont want to use the toch screen to shoot enimies in metroid prime. Yes I know it is easy to keep track of both but it is quite awkward to me.
Fair enough. Yeah, it may seem awkward, but at the same time (my opinion here), it's unique and is "pushing things forward."

That is also one of my concerns about the PSP. How durable will it be? Nintendo is good on hardware - every Nintendo product I've bought over the years still works. Considering how cheap Sony is with their products, my bet is that a new PSP will last about 3 months.

before now i wasnt sure which one of these portable systems to get, for the releasing games there werent too many games either had to offer that interested me too much, well there were a couple games that i like from both systems, like MGS:acid for PSP, and then theres the mario kart game for the DS.

as far as im concerned though i might just get both.

but from what ive heard, theyre releasing a smash bros. game for the DS so i would definitly want that more if that rumor is true...

Ok, now I have played a DS and I must say... WHAT WHERE YOU THINKING WITH METROID!!!???

I must say, the two screens is cool, and the graphics ar okay, but the metroid demo sucks. Really, if you design a game like that you either A) have moron BETA testers or B) are ignorant. The graphics are cool on the metroid demo with the switch between 3rd and 1st person, but I hate the shooting/aiming.

Other that, DS is pretty good. But... PSP is stilll way better. One reason PSP trumps DS is that it gets FFVII: AC and DS doesn't!

I played the demo today, and I am finding myself agreeing with SephirothSolace here. It does look cool, and I like the idea, but the aiming is way too touchy. Pictochat was fun, though

I would get the PSP is i had the cash on me, but i don't so I'll just wait untill the PS3 comes out and the Xbox2 because they will probably come out in 5-6 months.

I dont like any metroid prime games at all. I dont why i just dont. i like my DS but my touch screen is all scratched now. I now have a protector on it but things dont last forever. Now back to the vs thing. NIntendo's products are better quality than Sony's. My friend dropped his ps2 like 5 feet and it shattered. I dropped my GC like 8 times and nothing happened.

FYI, consoles aren't deigned to be dropped. That like complaining that my dog died when i dropped it off a cliff.

Maybe because they're frustrating? I remember the original Metroid, and man did I hate that game. Mindless wandering does not appeal to me.

Oh, and yeah, it's weird that you'd drop a console (although I can see it happening if you want to move it to another location). Handhelds, however, should be designed in case they are dropped (IMO).

Yea, people dont usually just drop their consoles just to see if they break or not...

I dont drop them on purpose. My friend dropped his PS2 because he was an idiot and didnt see his dog, tripped and fell. My GC was dropped 1 time from my dad and 2 times from me on accident but its a long story.

Well it's all preference. I enjoy the DS, personally. I'm not for fancy specs and a handheld DVD player, when I can get a portable game and continue moving on.

Don't get me wrong, PSP isn't that bad either, just not my style.

I remember when I first got my PSP, I didn't really want any of the games that were out yet. So I waited. Then Christmas came around and I got some fun games. And. Then. It. Broke. Gah, it was terrible! the joystick/analog stick/whatever you want to call it stopped working. I couldn't return my PSP to the store (rarrrr warranties!), so I had to ship it back to get it repaired. But it works fine now.

Another thing that bothers me about the PSP is the annoying sort of scratching noise the discs make! It drives me crazy!

But I still love my PSP. >3<
