(You ever have one of those weeks where it seems like everyone has somehow conspired to make your life torturous? The week we have finals is the same week work decides to put me on for more hours than they have ever done. I want to hurt someone right now. I'll update this in the morning when I'm not tired as hell.)

((Yeah I feel ya. But I'm planning my next post carefully as so not to mess up the flow of the story. I'll update this post with my part in the morning or so.))

Odin's message popped up "..... *sniff* yeah...." he looked down, as his hair makes a shadow that covers his eyes(typical creepy anime guy), he then got away to the west of the dungeon, and, as he fades away, he kicks a rock that was in his way

Avantha opened her mouth to speak, but was interrupted as two more players appeared at her side.

"You again?" said Kali, as Eria walked up beside her. "Why does it seem that every strange thing that is happening in this game is linked to you?"

Avantha was silent and dumbstruck at the sudden assault of unwanted people and mails. "I...um..." she said, unable to find the words. "Why...why do you people keep following me? Is it so hard to see that I want to be left alone? What I'm doing is none of your business."

"So wait, do you have something to do with that thing?" asked Kali, pointing up. Avantha looked up...and jumped back at once. Above the entire group was perhaps the strangest monster in the entire game. It was composed of nothing more than several cubes, constantly moving and reshaping itself.



Avantha was the only one in the group who didn't appear surprised to see it. "Get back!" she said to the others, pushing them away. "You need to get out of here right now!"

"What?" said Kali, almost falling over. "But why?"

"That doesn't matter," said Avantha. "Just get out of here."

But before anyone could move, a low, almost inaudible voice echoed through the field around them. "The trap is set, and the bait have arrived," said the voice. "Now all we need is the target."

Toshiro bit his lower lip. "Avantha what do you know about this creature and the other abnormalties in the world that youare not telling us? I know you don't want to get others involved in this, but what you might not realize is that its to late to try and sheild others from these things. Believe me I know...."Toshiro began to trail off." I tried to do the same thing. I used to act the same way as you do until I realized how naive I was for doing so. We need to work together now. I don't like the thought of getting others involve in my buisness either believe me, but at this point it might be the only way to....to figure things out..." He finished looking away for a moment then focusing his attention on the strange creature.

Odin's field exploration was cut short by the appearance of the 'beast of cubes' above Kali, Eria... and what looked like...

"A---th-!"

He then turned his attention back to the beast. Granted he was quite a ways off from where the group was, but his hilltop vantage point enabled coverage of the entire area with little difficulty, and as the sky was mostly empty, the 'beast of cubes' was a relatively easy thing to spot. Scanning the monster's data showed absolutely nothing. It was almost as if he was looking at a blank space in the sky... but there was definitely something there. He could see it, he could hear it... he also had the strangest sense that he could 'feel' it. Almost entranced by this monster's strange essence, he began to walk towards it, then stopped himself, thinking about what could happen to him if something went wrong... what would happen to him? It's not like this creature was naturally occurring within the game's environment. Was it an unannounced event monster, or perhaps something unfinished that was removed form the program's core before the game was released? He hung back, continuing to observe the creature and it's actions.

He turned back, then saw the 'Cube beast' "......" he saw Odin Staring at the cube "I can Hack it.... at least to know how to get them free.... i just need your help... would you help me?" he walked staring at the floor to Odin's side...

Odin continued to stare at the strange creature, but tilted his head towards Seige, lifting up a hand as if to say 'hold your horses for now', then began writing something in a flash mail. After a few seconds, he sent it out, then seemed to start typing up yet another flash mail;

Eria merely looked up at the creature, listening to the others as she tried to lock on and examine it, but continued to fail. "So It's there... but it's not...?" she said curiously when Odin's mail came. She took a moment to read it before replying.

With that done, she looked to Avantha. "So... Why is a talking Tesseract floating up there, talking about us being bait, Avantha?" she asked calmly in a voice that said she would continue to ask until she got an answer.

he then looked at the weird moster, then walked to it "Wait, if it's not here, then..... it's not in the game's log..... that's why the admins could not detect it..... and.... it won't happen anything if i..." he touched the monster, then he was blowed back with 1Hp "What the hell!!??.... wait!" he scanned the monster with his usual 'scanning program' "ok..... so.... in game terms... nothing exists in there.... but if you touch it you end up with 1 Hp..... curious.... Repth!"

"What?! What the..." He quickly snapped a pic of the data and turned to D-Scythe.

"Hey, did you see tha-"

The screen started to flicker and flash and then went blank.

"The hell?!" Riki couldn't move his controller, but his FMD flashed and transported the two characters to the field. Landing abruptly, he had little time to become aware of his surroundings. He was surrounded by a few PCs, gazing up at a cubed shaped monster.

"What the, the hell's that? What's going on here?!" Gibken drew out his weapon, ready at any moments hesitation to attack.

"M-" The teleport cut off his reply. He had seen somethong, but there was no way of knowing if that was what Gibken had been talking about. "Huh. That's a new one. Watson, you should might want to run. CCcorp. might be showing up soon and you might not want to get caught up in this." D-=Scythe left Gibkens party. "Kali I thought I told you to keep me appraised. We'll talk about that later though. I'm surprised you got here so fast, Avantha." Her eyes were glued to the cube while she moved closer to Avantha. "Or were you already here? Either way, how do you plan on approaching this one? Talk to it, offer it tea and dumplings, run away screaming, or just throw magic at it because gelatinous cubes can swallow you if you get to close?" Well, it's not quite gelatinous but probably much faster and even more dangerous. I need to use one of those in the near future a beholder too. They say they're cliche but I've never even run into one in a campaign.

Odin was still typing up the results of Seige's Gung-Ho-Gamble when two more PCs showed up in the field. Recognising them as the two who he'd met in the dungeon when they were attacked by the first 'gel' creature. He waved to them in a casual manner-slightly unfitting given the group's current situation-then returned to tapping on his keyboard, composing the creature's information into something half legible to the average human. He occasionally stopped the incessant rapping of his keyboard to look for any abnormalities in the area around the creature. Smiling to himself, he continued his self-set work,'While I have to admit I'm scared about what could happen to us, seeing an AI such as this in an environment like this... It's almost beyond description! If only I could show it to everyone back in England... I wonder what they'd have to say about it?'

"This isn't a joke!" Avantha yelled to D-=Scythe. "All of you have to get out of here before you get hurt!"

"It looks like a joke to me," said Kali. She walked up to the floating cube and tapped it a few times with her staff, but nothing at all happened. "What is this? Killer cubes from outer space? Why don't you tell us what's really going on here instead of throwing false threats at us?"

Kali turned her back to the cube and face Avantha, but just as she did the object started to move. It darted towards her, hitting her in the back so hard that it knocked her over. It began to rotate faster, and as it did it started to duplicate. Hundreds of tiny cubes began to materialize in the air, attaching themselves to Kali's body. She rose in the air as the cubes surrounded her and engulfed her. She tried to yell out, but her mouth was filled with more tiny cubes as soon as she opened it.

Then, without warning, a loud screech echoed through the field. Something hit Kali hard and she was thrown to the ground. The mesh of tiny cubes that had surrounded her disappeared, leaving only the solitary cube behind. And around the cube was wrapped the tentacle of Lveathn.

"Kali!" Eria ran to the girl's side, Moving her back from both cube and Tentacle. "Kali, are you alright?" she asked even as she watched the Tesseract be held somehow by Lveathn's tentacle. It didn't take a genius to realize that things just got Real in the area. And they were knee-deep in it too... "Well, I wonder how much worse this will get by the end of it?" Eris asked herself as she helped Kali to her feet.

Dumbstruck, Gibken spoke with haste, " Hey D-Scythe! I'm not gonna leave ya here to fight a corrupted monster?! Do any of you other guys care to explain what's up with the floating blue cube?!"

The tentacle continued to contort around the blue cube and it screeched, sending Kali flying back. The tentacle aimed for Gibken and shot out, "Oh crap! The hell?!" He dodged and used his agility to escape the cube, running towards Kali.

Gibken ran over to where Kali had fallen and helped her up. "H-Hey! Are you alright? Do you need to be healed or something?"

Deathscythe jumped between Kali and the cube her weapon in hand and ready to deflect incoming attacks from the strange monster. "Gibken, I've no intention of fighting that thing. The two of you get Kali as far from here as you can while Leviathan is still here to cover you." She turned to look at the others, "And I'm sure the admins would find the cracks in the walls of that dungeon interesting. Why don't you all go check them out?" His tone changed drastically this cube had hurt Kali, and judging by that scream it wasn't just her character Kali herself had been hurt. That pissed James right off. "Now, Avantha, in all seriousness what is your plan? Do we try to help Lveathn or do we just stay out of the way and let him handle it?" James wanted to reap that cube, but he feared he would have to settle for letting Velanth do it for him.

"I...uh..." said Avantha, watching dumbstruck as Eria pulled Kali away from the monster and the cube. Kali's eyes were closed and her body was limp, as if the force of the attack had knocked her out not just in the game but in the real world as well. Eria was trying her best to wake the girl, but Kali was unresponsive. "I don't know..." said Avantha. "I...I told you to run..."

Lveathn's tentacle continued to wrap around the cube, as if trying to squeeze it out of existence, before letting out a roar and throwing the object to the ground. The face on the beast became a little more distinct, and it stared at the cube with a look of loathing--for a moment the beast almost appeared human. The cube floated back up to the air at once, unaffected by the beast's attack.

"Virus has detected player anomaly dubbed Lveathn," said the cube in a dull, monotone voice. As the object tried to pronounce the monster's name, its voice was replaced by several loud and aggravating beeps, as if the cube was struggling to pronounce the sounds. "Initiating assigned mission. Attempting to spread virus by controlling player anomaly and forcing it to attack unaffected players."

Just as the object finished talking, it lunged at Lveathn, engulfing the creature just as it had done to Kali and forcing it to turn towards the players.

The words rang in her mind. 'Attempting to spread virus by controlling player anomaly and forcing it to attack unaffected players'. A Virus... She looked back down at the completely unresponsive Kali in her arms with a bit of new understanding. She still remembered the error feeling. So what would a Virus do to a Virtual Box user? And then there was the other fact. The cube stated that this was it's Mission. "$$$$ just got real in this area," Eria said as she picked up the fallen girl. "Avantha! I'd be nice if you could pull a trick out of your hat like you did before!"

"Sorry. Dek Vakz" The cube's defenses hopefully weakened she cast GiVak Kruz engulfing it in a fiery tornado. "GET EVERYONE OUT OF HERE!" He shouted. "I will make you burn for what you just did." She unleashed another blast of fire on the virus. For the moment it was acting like any other monster locked in place by magic. Lveanth lashed his arm out at D-=Scythe she managed to deflect it with her scythe and sidestep the majority of the attack. James discarded the polearm when he noticed the scythe on his screen flicker to a normal spear. Cubes quickly absorbed the abandoned weapon. "Don't let it touch you." He managed to get out before the beast was on her in earnest. I seem to have pissed it off. Lucky me. He managed to put distance between she and it when Gibken decided to intervene with a spell. James took the brief reprieve to equip a new weapon. I. Hate. Rust monsters. "Thanks Watson. Now would be a great time to call those admins the rest of you."

For some reason, probably Velanth's connection to Avantha it started ignoring D-=Scythe and Gibken and turned towards Avantha who was still stunned by what had just happened. Oh hell no. I'm the only one who gets to reap her. Deathscythe dashed forward and tackled Avantha as Lveathn lashed at her. "You picked a great time to go helpless on ______et __r out sa______ear me? K_____ her ___fe." The cubes began covered Deathscythe entirely. James tore off his headset and began using the keyboard. He laughed as the flaming scythe flew from her blocky hand and impaled itself in Lveathn before D-=Scythe's data became too corrupted to move. James had Kali's number, it hadn't been hard to get it from her, so he called it. When she didn't pick up he flipped back to The World and watched as events unfolded around his disabled character, because that was all he could think to do right now. Well, that and keep dialing.
