So, lawyers, tour guides, tutors, maids, waiters and such people are all like prostitutes... according to your reasoning

Nope, and i did consider that before posting (as i felt i was contradicting myself indeed)....but lawyers, tour guides, tutors, maids, etc, offer a service which doesn't have to do with standing there in front of a screen and looking pretty as they do something, nor they offer their services to guys only, guys in need for a girl to play with. The services they offer involve an aid, a support, a help to those that "buy" such service, and that service can involve a legal help, a tourist trip so they don't get lost, scholar aid, something that serves a greater purpose than just being there for a lonely guy; some even have to finish a whole bunch of studies before they can offer such services like that. And i mean, it's not like the girls will actually make the guy be with more people or beat his loneliness...they'll just play for as much as the guy was able to pay, and that's it; it's not like the girls will be able to even be more time with him, as they'll have other "clients" to attend :/
Still, you could ignore what i said above, as you'll have to consider what a "greater purpose" is, and just hear me say that, if it wasn't because this site will make people look for girls in like a "catalogue", find the prettiest one and "buy" them, and that it involves money indeed, i wouldn't really compare it to "prostitution". But it does and that's how it's like...so yeah, just like those webcam/dating sites, but with gaming :/ It's not like i fully disagree with the idea either, but for my eyes, it'll be just that until i can be proven otherwise.

I just think prostitution is a huge exageration to be honest
You're comparing sin to silly games
and also I'm not sure if you read correctly but the only way to webcam is the flash games which probably are not that popuar among "gamers"
the main thing I would think is XBOX Live , and there is no webcam involved there

More, and more ways become available for people to meet across the net. We can already see people getting headsets, and chatting to people they find off of GameCrush.

So actors and models are prostitutes when they just stand there looking pretty? And this all presupposes some weird morality that says your body isn't yours to do with as you want, which I wholeheartedly disagree with. As does the great state of Nevada.
That said I think it's incredibly stupid there's this "omg you're a girl?!" mentality in online gaming. It is *not* hard to meet girls into gaming, I mean just look at the gender ratio on this site, for one, and I think probably half of my gamer friends are girls. Go to literally any convention. They always seem to freak out guys online, though, it's just dumb...
I don't blame anyone for trying to take advantage of it, though, the idiots are the ones paying the money. This is just a symptom, the real problem being the way a lot of people have some sort of sexist perception about gaming as an exclusively male hobby. Obviously the "dating" component is just marketing, this whole thing will get really shallow really fast, but I'm sure anyone going in can figure that out... You're making people happy though, so in many ways it's more meaningful than my last job as a developer for software no one will ever use...

...Kuukai, did you just imply you were a GamerCrush girl?
Because you have seriously pretty hair, from what I've seen. :B

WILL get shallow? Like it isn't already?
But yeah, gamer girls are actually far more common than most guys believe. Of my closest friends, there's 5 male gamers (of 12) and 14 female gamers (of 17) not counting my sister but counting my fiancee. The hilarious part is the girls are saying "no one wants a girl who's into gaming." about being single, and then things like this hapen. Makes me laugh.

I could probably pull it off if not for my deep, masculine voice.
Yeah, I just meant this isn't at all "dating" like the creators imply.

Vectress451 and her Cobralace sqaud. The baddest ******* that have ever stepped into the online gaming world. Including Vectress, nine other female players in that group simply dominated nearly ever online game that I've ever played. Worst of all, it happened in almost ever category of gaming. Where ever I was, they were unfortunately there as well. Not a single man could take over the top spot in Halo, Gran Turismo, Call of Duty, Fat Princess, or Bioshock anymore. Truely, there was no stopping such a squad run by estrogen and bad break-ups. Those girls were badass, and they have forever changed my view of females in gaming. I whole heartedly respect all females in the gaming world now. v_v

I apologize for talking about things in a narrow way before. After all, i kept just comparing them to all those other sites, and to the worst of those sites, so yeah. And though i still have my bad thoughts on this and how for me it'll end up like something "bad"...well, i can't truly judge anything without even seeing it :/

I respect gamer girls as i respect any other gamer who deserves it, and i have a bigger attraction for gamer girls for the reason of sharing a like which is enjoy so much. But...i've never heard of such squad, AT ALL o_O From the games you listed, i assume it's something from the XBox Live only (and i'm only into PSN myself), but still, if they're "dominators" like that in so many games, anyone would expect to find more information about them...but, there's nothing to be found D: Not that i doubt they exist, but i mean, you could tell me "OMG FEAR THE COBRALACE SQUAD" and i'm all "...lolwut wtf are they?"; also, i think they're just one "clan" of gaming girls among a thousand, some better than that "squad".
And yeah, it's not really that hard to find gamer girls. I know a few who play videogames at the same amount i do or more...and that could completely kick my ass even in Tekken. But, i wouldn't go down without putting up a fierce battle ~3~ lol

Gamer girls aren't rare at all. I think it is just the environment people are around, or just a stereotype.
The very first game I played online was Ratchet Deadlock. It was awhile back, but I remember going into my first online match just to have this girl snipe me with the Fusion Rifle a few seconds into the match. Then I got killed with the Scorpion Flail by that same person. She was one the players in that match to kicked my ass.
In the world of gaming I notice how people are too haughty with their skills until they play online. On a side note I wish I had a PS3 right now. I want to play Tekken 6 online, but the PSP version is only local. Sure with the psp you can go to Tekken God in about 300 matches against the cpu, and you have 4 exclusive stages that no one truly cares about, but the PS3 version owns it.
