I just finished watching it and it was pretty good.
Wasn't the best, but in the end it was still amazing.

Well, I believe that Simon becomes way much cooler than kamina in the final episodes, not only because of his new style but also thanks to its glasses(kidding). Now, concerning the series itself, tengen toppa gurren lagann is the best anime made. EVER(just take a look at my avatar and signature). It is just much more than epic and everyone should watch it.

I thought the ending was good.
Sad (in more than one way), but still good.

Honestly,  Simon going off and leaving Rossiu in charge was the only fair ending to have, especially after Nia literally disappeared into thin air like that. I'll admit, I even cried when  1) seeing Nia "die" and 2) seeing old!Simon.

I can't say I cried at these moments but I almost got there. Although the ending was epic, it was also kind of sad and made me think through a lot of things.

Am I only the one who noticed that the King Kittan's shape was a STAR?

HMM...

Also, given the combination of Viral and Simon piloting the Gurren Lagann was so AWESOME they managed to cause an army of evil robots to EXPLODE through the raw might of the SHEER AWESOME they were emitting.

It was a show about robots that ran on awesome. It's a 'nuff said really. Fantastic anime. I still find myself singing Minna No Peace sometimes.

Anyone read the spin off manga, Tengan Toppa Gurren Lagann - Guren Gakuenhen? Basically 'What if Gurren Lagann was a Slice of Life Comedy manga set in a school?'

It hilarious. And everyone shows up somewhere. Namely Yuko in a schoolgirl outfit.

I saw this anime on the sci-fi channel a while back. It was so-so for me. I preferred the heart-wrenching anime that came on right after it, which happens to be my favorite anime of all time:

Now and Then, Here and There!

Yes, that was a shameless plug. Observe the prongz.

Anyway, I have the hots for Kamina. >_> I have this secret little fantasy where Kamina meets Haruhi Suzumiya and they destroy the world together...

Don't judge me! >_>;

I'm so happy other people like this show! It is amazing! I think my favorite mech is the Space King Kittan, but you just don't mess with the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann! Basically, I watched about four episodes and called all my friends and screamed, Kamina is the greatest bad-ass of all time, more epic than anyone you've ever seen! And all of that is despite his lack of spiral energy!!!! What an amazing show it is.

Oh and by the way, poster above who can't spell the word "galaxy", that  whole fight takes place in a parallel universe. There's no comparison to be made between those galaxies and our own. That being said, the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is still effing huge!

It's a parallel universe stated to be modelled after our own iirc.

So yeah, it is just that ****ing big. Safe to say it's probably the biggest super robot to date. And it'd be tough to make bigger.

And I found Guren Gakuenhen by accident. There's only about 5 chapters so far, but they are all awesome. It's total fanservice(not in that way. TTGL always had plenty of that. Yay for Gainaxing) and a lot of the jokes would be lost on anyone who hasn't watched TTGL, when they aren't wondering why Viral has bear hands, why the eye patch lady has a scorpion tail and what the hell that turtle thing actually is and why is it allowed in public education.

I should warn you however, while the beach chapter has all the various females in bikinis, it also has Thymilph(the guy who originally possessed the Dai-Gurren in the anime. The one who...y'know, with the spear, and the...yeah. That ********.) in speedos.

It's even more terrifying than that Gabi in a man thong image.

Not to mention, having the ability to throw galaxies at each other is very, very epic material.

both epicly awesome and epicly Beyond DBZ's realisim XD

whats more crazy, fusing two galaxies into a ball of pure "Energy" or bringing people back to life with 8 balls?

Well I would say fusing two galaxies is way more realistic, on account of the fact that galaxies do collide on their own in real life and it is a VERY energetic process. There's no reason to believe that it couldn't be done by a super-gigantic robot with ridiculously large hands. On the other hand, dragon balls don't occur naturally that we know of, so TTGL FTW!!!!

And Simon has power levels WAY over 9,000. Just watch when the spiral energy meter explodes into the room! For the record, the first time I ever saw energy whip around that thing I was just waiting for Simon to make it explode. And who could've ever imagined how much spiral energy Boota had within him?

Uhhh, no. Tengen Toppa = Heaven Smashing = Better Than non-canon characters that get snubbed by the series original creator. Akira Toriyama says i r better than u.
