Well, since the general concensus around here is that Final Fantasy is horrible... Let's find out how bad it is...

Where's the "NO, I don't hate it, but that doesn't mean I think it's the best" option? Final Fantasy, on a whole, is really good, but I can't say that it deserves the title of "The Best."

FF is a subpar rpg series that doesn't deserve to be as popular as it is. Also, Square never sent me a formal apology for FF7 even though I mailed them (twice) and requested one. Now they're making a movie of it. Will it never end!?!?

... I should start one of those petitions to ban Square/Enix from bringing any new FF games to america.

WOW! I'm really surprised... It seemed like everyone was Anti-FF, guess i was wrong.
I got FFVII PC a month ago. It took me a while to find a copy. I went in to and EB Games and asked if they had it cause i was bored and lo and behold, they had it for $19.99. h00t h00t h00t! I'm at Junon! (I've beat it alreay a few times)

Mailed aobut 20 time and never got an answer on Red's kid. If there is a Japaness version to revive Aeris and many other questions.

i agree ff isnt the best but its cool but if u ask me the newer ffs are getting kinda retarded (if u no what i mean)

Out of curiosity, why did you want them to apologize for FF7? Was it the terrible translation, the confusing story, the stupid stereotype (Barret), or something else?

Actually, I DON'T know what you mean. Want to elaborate a little? Which FFs fall into the "newer" category? FF7 and up or what?

I'm gonna go with All of the above. Plus it was a really crappy game in general. And every FF game has sucked since 7. Therefore, I believe Square owes me, an ex-fan, an apology for taking the series and turning it into trash. Not that they care, as long as they're making money off of it.

must admit that FFX-2 really suxed ... but anyway i already bought it.
should have rented... but since FF7 its true that all started to sux... xcept FFT FFAnthology and the other FF that got FF3 and FF5
because they are all the first one... but what made FF famous i this were the Cinematic they made... but now you can get in almost all games so that take off the big + of FFs

Well, Orangeslice, I never would have known you were ever a fan of Final Fantasy considering the way you usually post about the series

I can't comment on how the series has taken a turn for the worse, though, since I have only played the "new school" FFs (7 and up). You're not the first person I've heard say that the FFs aren't all that great these days, though.

No, I won't admit that FFX-2 really sucked. Especially without any reason given other than "it suxed." I actually enjoyed FFX-2 a lot (mainly since I like FFX a lot). If you're going to say something sucks, at least back it up with something.

Ok, FF x-2 SUCKED! Like heck. except the Battle system. While it could have used a little more work It was the best battle system I have seen in queite a while. The high speed made it almost a real time fighting system but with enough time to actually thing and not just button mash.

But, yeah, after FF VII, it took a downhill turn. FF IX was sad, not the plot, but the game in general. FF X was really not to bad, the Sphere Grid rocked, though it wasn't great. They should make FF XII with a Sphere Grid hybrid, like materia development in a shere system, if ya know what I mean.
