Infected Drill Help

hey
i'm on the part in Outbreak
where Helba tells u to kum meet her
in Sigma server
at the bottom of the dungeon is an infected drill guy
i kno i'm supposed to use dark stuff
but i jus get a bunch of scrolls
duz anyone hav a more effective method for beating this?

i can't think if your supposed to be by yourself for this, but if you can have a party, make them attack the hell out of it.

if your on your own, speed charm's are good. just run in, attack and get back out before he can hit you.

You're a TWIN BLADE, use some physical dark attacks. Like, Terror Cyclone, Evil Twin, Darkness Slash... you know. However, you should back away after doing that, so a Speed Charm is good. Physical Darkness will help you much faster. Do you have the Ankokushiki?

Well, if you can bring others into your party, use them as a distraction. If you set one of them to attack, the monster will be attacking the closes party member. You can have your other member [if they are a Wavemaster] heal and cast heavy Dark spells [while your distraction member] isnt in dire need of healing.
While that is happening, run to a far corner of the room and cast your own spells until its life drops down.

This seems sorta like a fraid/skiddish tactic but it works.

You'll need ap do/speed charm, recovery drinks, and dark magic or dark attacks.

If your hp gets low, run to the opposite corner to cast ol repth/phal repth, whichever skill you have. The data bug is kind of slow and if you can predict his sequence of techs, you can dodge them before they come. This will only work if you're under the effect of ap do. At this point you should be able to take a hit from the bug's thunder magic (GiRai rom?), so don't bother dodging that. It's the physical attacks that pack a huge punch and if you're quick enough, you can avoid h\them completely.

Once data drained, an easy way to kill is to use mumyn lei/the moon on it.
Kite's Rashou blades come with this ability (I believe that's the name).

The other universal hint is "bring lots of items". It's impossible to lose if you use them in time.

Meh, I always stock up on 99 of everything really needed (fairy orbs for investigating the dungeon maps, healing items, etc) but always sell my scrolls. Just attack the thing until it protect breaks, (while healing when health gets about half way down) then data drain and kill. Its the same with NORMAL monsters, only the "bosses" have a little more health and attack, and sometimes require data drain. No skill required really.

i did this yesterday, basically i just stood back and spammed a darkness spell, if your level is quite low (say 50-55) i wouldnt recomment close up attacks.

easiest way is to go to SIGMA Discover Truth's Spiral (I think, I may have to recheck) DD the Lich thingie there and everything else you encounter

after you get kites best weapon for Vol. 3 and best head armor, exit the field

be sure to leave a portal or two so you can come back as this is the location of all the best weapons in Outbreak

now

go back and forth from the field to the server

DD occasionlly and sell the extra equipment for some extremely quick cash

your level will be very high and you should kill the remaining bosses fairly quick

NOTE

if i am right about the keywords

u should wind up with a level 50 or somehwere around 50 lvl twin blade weapon called Two Togther. the should be yellow, rare, and look like twin lightning bolts. dont worry about using physical dark skill b/c while he is a DB he has no element. when he is normal he will, but will die quick due to ur lvl/ ur equipments lvl
