I Agree to this. Man that totally sucks with elementary having no recess.
That is very awful man those kids need something physically active to do and it is for their health. Just sitting all day in class is no good for health either. Basically what a bad idea this is.

Yeah. and it's not like gym class helps in the least bit. We had a servey and more student's are discuraged from gym than others.

Resses is an important part of school. Kids should not be sujected to not having it because schools can not proberly teach a child. this sounds a lot like what my school is trying to do. They are trying to make gym not required for people in middle school and in elementary getting rid of it all together. people need the little exerze they get to stimulate their brains. i mean when they get home all they want to do is go and play games.
Kind of like us. And .hack. but yea, no resses, that would suck.

arg my school aaaaaaaaaaalmost stopped reccese T_T we get 5 minuts of recces then all test and work >.<
I'm so happy I didn't have to deal with this FCAT and obviously not any child in my country.
Como'n! Children need have their recess. If they truly think all the children are going to sit in their chairs all day long they are higly mistaken.
Anxiousnes doesn't just disapppear like that.
And if they truly want anyone to consentrate in something there need to be somekind of pause in studying and even in work.
Kids need recess, at least 15 minutes, so that they don't go completely nuts in school. And the kids will have completely forgotten anything they learn for a stupid test that they care nothing about at that age not to mention they won't grasp any of the concepts, assuming the test makers actually consider the test takers half-way intelligent for their grade. So what's the point?
And the whole testing thing to pass, we have the TAKS(Texas Assesment of Knowledge and Skills), is stupid, because we have to get at least a 2 out of a possible 4, on a stupid essay that has no good topic and different graders for every essay even if we get a perfect score on the rest of the English section or all 4 sections for that matter, I mean come on students who are taking classes that are supposed to be above their level and passing still have to take the stupid test.
