Magus is the leaf guy. All of them are fairly easy (to me, I was prepared) except for 1, 6, and 7. Anyway, Yeah, get some potions, Ressurects, and the status healing items, wavemaster and heavy hitter, and you'll be fine. Wave master heal and set you and the other one on attack. ;)

Magus was quite possibly the most fun phase to beat, with Fidchell at a close second.

He doesn't really have much of an "element", unless you count the PhaJuk stuff it uses only after it's been drained, being wood. However, since it's Pha and all, it COULD kill you in one hit, but you won't have to worry about it until after you data drain it.

The leaves are what you should worry about. But since someone already explained the leaf strategy and you asked about elements, just whatever you do, do not have Earth-favoring equipment, and by all means have Wood equipment. Not that it matters anyway, you've got the Ressurects and quite possibly Rip Maen from ANY light head armor you got in Mutation. And your Wavemaster probably does too. (BRING ONE!!)

AH, I forgot all about the leaves. Yeah, I didn't see anybody post it so you attack the falling leaves, 1 by 1 and when magus pauses use all of your attacks on it, and have Blackrose attack Magus the whole time. Also, I forgot about the Rip Maen cap, Use the one (on all 3, I give one to evey one at the begining of the game) with Rip Maen and I believe Ola Repth, I could be wrong, but I belive that's the highest healing magic. Just order FIRST AID! after every big attack from Magus. Good luck! :yawinkle:

The phases generally(excepting Innis and Fidchell, Innis uses physical attacks and fidchell uses multiple elements) sick to one or two elements, combined with physical attacks.

Skeith:Water
Innis:Physical
Magus:Wood
Fidchell:Earth, Fire, Lightning, Water(random based on what he says he will do)
Gorre:Darkness
Macha:Wood
Tarvos:Darkness
Corbenik:Wood

Generally speaking, however, Tolerance has such a low effect on attacks that focusing on a tolerance doesnt have much effect on your ability to survive. Just toss on a tolerance item of the correct element(such as Holy Sap) or a tolerance buffing spell, and focus on the best stat armor you find.

The only exception to this is if you can find a way to seriously max out a tolerance for a character to increase their damage. When I first got Balmung in Outbreak I decided to experiment to see how high I could get his Water tolerance. I managed to get it into the 90s with buffs, and his attacks were doing LUDICROUS damage(2,000+ special attacks against fire enemies with multiple hits). So focusing on a tolerance to deal damage is great, but focusing on a tolerance to defend against attacks generally doesnt help that much.

Generally speaking I heavily recommend when you fight phase 5 gorre in the third game that you do NOT bring a wavemaster. Reason being Gorre has an attack called Blade of Scheme that does about 2,000 physical damage to wavemasters, and he will ALWAYS target your wavemaster. ALWAYS. Bring heavy blades, blademasters, or heavy axemen for their high physical defense and hp and just throw a light helm on Kite for healing and have him heal, it will save you 40 or so ressurects over the course of the fight from wiseman getting his butt kicked every 10 seconds.

I just died for the first time ever on .hack. o.0 This guy hit my whole party of level 51s for 1,000-1,700 damage. I have no idea what happened... The attack that killed my whole party was weak when he used it previously.
