Fillers?

Are episoides 26 and 27 of .hack//SIGN just fillers leading up to a new season? Or something? I mean, they were pointless. Why would they air pointless episodes with no actual plot or storyline? Anyone know of an explaination?

it cant be a filler because there were never a manga about Sign

They're just extra episodes. If they were filler, than they'd be within the series, but they're completely seperate. One is a mini-story and the other is just a recap episode of what's happened in the series.

Evidence was supposed to be after the episode Castle, but the dvds didn't show it like that.

Evidence was a recap episode, and Intermezzo was a look into the lives of ordinary players besides the main characters, and see their reasons for playing a game. Basically, episode 27 was another building block to rub it in your face ONE MORE TIME that the underlying point of the series is that everyone is playing the World for an alternative, troubling reason.

It's like Frickin' Silent Hill 2 or sumthin', gawd.
