So I entered the keywords from Liminality...

Post by Deathbliss »

SPOILER ALERT! If you want to figure this out for yourself you may not want to read further!

OK, so I entered the keywords from the first disc of .hack/liminality. They are: Delta Chosen Hopeless Nothingness. Sound familir? That's because Theta Chosen Hopeless Nothingness are keywords you get in-game that lead to a special area. My question is why do the same keywords, entered into the Chaos Gate in MAc Anu, not lead to anything special? In my walkthrough it said there were a number of keywords in teh anime, and they all lead to special items. But all I got here were some level 9 non-rare weapons, and a Fire Dance Hat. Does anyone have any idea what's going on here?

Oh and a tip for those that didn't figure it out. Apparently you have to have subtitles on to catch other keywords, and I'm about to try this and watch the anime for the fourth time just to be sure I didn't miss anything.

Actually
the cathedral in Delta; Chosen Hopeless Nothingness is a special place
but i won't ruin the why for you
just know it comes later on
And yes your right
in the english language track the key words are changed to locations
the subtitles put the actual key words of the places

I think I figured it out...

The keywords said in game were actually either for the same area you visit that is corrupted in game - they must have visited it just before it was corrupted, or it actually is the area in Delta just something weird happened there when they went in. Either way those keywords aren't hidden, and are not secret. Turning on the subititles reveals all - I think I have it figure out how they hide the keywords now so I'll probably watch disc 2 without subititles to see if I can spot where the keywords are displayed.

Oh and I've updated my chart accordingly - I've found 3 secret areas - 9 hidden keywords - in the first disc of Liminality.

Note you have to open a new window and copy the address in. It doesn't like the link.

I've only found one set of three keywords here, does that sound right?
