Why is it so hard to get .hack//outbreak?

Post by Jakster »

OK this may not be the same in the US etc. but in the UK it's really hard to find a copy of .hack//Outbreak now. on amazon.co.uk the only copy you can buy is used and about £50. on ebay the only copy has the wrong manual and people are bidding like crazy!
I've only ever seen one copy of the game ( not online but like in a shop ) and it was only the display box!
oh well... I better keep searching I guess

You're going to have to yell at Atari and tell them to start producing more for the European fans. 8)

Its the same here in Canada. I had to go to St. Albert from edmonton (where I live) to get infection. Quarantine is pretty damn common, the rest are rare.

Infection And Quarantine are uncommon to find over here but Mutation & Outbreak are REALLY RARE!

I'm trying to buy them all so then i can lend them to my friends so they can play them without having to go through all the hassle I'm going through... oh well... They should have a few copy's in london ... I'll guess I'll look there next week when its half term

We can only hope.

Most people only like games that involve sex, guns, gore, etc. So theres almost no chance of that happening. Oh, and it has to be online with tons of chaos and PvP, otherwise it will suck(sarcastic).

sarcastic usually mean's you not speaking the truth but rather playing with it. <.<

this has got to be one of the truest statement's that i've ever seen!

people can realy suck sometime's  (now, that's sarcasm)

from dictionary.com:

Sarcasm
A cutting, often ironic remark intended to wound.

What you said was true about people sucking sometimes. I meant that games that really stand out are picked by people who only like those kinds of games I stated above. I was sarcastic that "Everyone only likes online, PvP gorey games" when there are some people that do like other kinds, though thats not how media shows it.

They are re-releasing the 4 games in Japan in two packages for 2,800 yen that's 14 odd quid each! or to put it another way about usd$24.
Maybe they'll do that here too. (Though they'll probably charge full price )Image

Personally, I found Mutation harder to find. I have yet to actually see the game in stores around me [but maybe I haven't been looking hard enough]. Had to buy Infection used, but wouldn't it make more sense for the older games to be harder to come across?
