why cant i kill the parsite dragon

i have gameshark and i have infinit health and the dragon wasent lowering it but then he breath fire and i die anyone know why?

yeah its predecesser killed my nes and its the same formula for what it is, (though I dont hold a grudge against those who use it) its a possibility that the gameshark is screwed up the game or something or since you arent supposed to save when you use gameshark, maybe the code screwed up after using it a bunch of time while saving with the code active, no offence but if you want to kill the parasite dragon try killing it without cheats, and use
a heck of alot of healing items, and beat it that way after lvling up a bit, use the healing items when neccecary, and bring a good party, data drain get the item and your set for now to go onto the next game

well, it seemed easier for me because i just stood back and let them fight, as i just used magic, and send mistrel to heal.

the reason gameshark wont keep u alive is because parasite dragon is dealing damage in one attack over your maximum health. ive gone through .//hack infection through quarrantine 4 times (once with the gameshark). so if you grow to a higher level and get a higher max hp then you should have no prob using gameshark.

Well I use gameshark and never die. Maybe your gameshark somehow work for the dragon.(it happens) Or maybe you did not activate the cheats. Unless the cheats doesn't work. But you never know if it somehow work to the monsters rather than you.

well here... let me explain...

you are a wanna be know it all and using a game shark thinking your just as good as everyone else.. I mean you had a freaking GAMESHARK and you lost to the parasite dragon!! i was freakin level 17 and beat him! (yes i did die a couple times but thats why you keep mistral in the back packed with resurrects and potions =) ) and yes he breathes fire that can kill you, thats why you never EVER go alone on fights like that. and i can't wait to hear your story when you fight that skull monster in mutation

P.S. be glad my friend isnt the one flaming you... oh god no...

nobdy seems to listen to me...

the gameshark cant keep your character from dying
if parasite dragons attack deals more damage than a characters max hp the gameshark cant keep u alive.
this is due to the fact that the gameshark cant give out and infinite amount of hp (or any infinite number for that matter) it just constantly replicates the number till a maximum is reached, for dot hack it is the characters current max hp, it may be be different for other games.

so parasite dragon is dealing damage to u wiht that flame attack equal or greater than your max hp, get it?

and yes Haseo:terrorofdeath the two gamesharks are very different

and Tsugasa-kun, wow at lv 17, thats amazing. props 2 u and yeah u dont need the gameshark, if u beat skeith without it then parasite dragon should be no problem.

sorry if i sounded angry, just frustrated. not good day 4 me.

Btw this means the gameshark is working fine.

Uh, dude. You are ruining the challeng if you are using the gameshark. I suggest you bring you someone who has life drain effect on a weapon with you the next time you fight parasite dragon. Also I suggest a lot of antidote and restorive. Collect these as well: Nobel Wine, Healing Exliir, Divine Cross and Emporers Soul.

Listen to OblivionKnight. I used to own a Game Shark that I used for blazing through games that I really didn't think I could tolerate without it. (Just to check out graphics and cutscenes) when I first picked up .hack//infection I assumed it was going to be one of those games. It REALLY is more fun without the gameshark. Anyhow, as OblivionKnight was saying If a boss deals you more with one hit than your Maximum HP can handle, you will die. You prabably aren't leveling up enough since your invincible. If I just wanted to check out cutscenes and storyline, I'd skip clearing the fields too. But, without a game enhancer, clearing fields of enemies is vital to building up your level. If your going to use a Game Shark (I strongly suggest you don't) try only using the code for unlimited item usage. That way you can use infinate healing potins and Mage's souls and as long as you pay some attention to your HP you should have no problem blazing through the game as long as you keep your level up.

Just a few things to say about game shark... Worst Cheat Hardware Ever!
I mean you could really skrew up any game really badly. I prefer the Action replay for game cube but game shark is pretty bad

any way... parisite dragon... just get someone well above level 30, get a healer that knows Ola repth or ol repth, send in two people to directly attack while you keep a constant barage of scrolls comin' at him and heel your party every now and then.

Basically keep your health at or near 100% and you'll do fine agains the Parasite Dragon.

i beat the parasite dragon with Elk, myself, and blackrose, I had the Bom-Ba-Ye, we were all level 31, it took several mages souls, just constantly let blackrose attack while elk heals, while the dragon is attacking blackrose start casting those extremely fast but powerful spells, (the opposite of like staccato where its very long and doesnt do alot of dmg) and just keep doin that, when it has around 1000 HP it will data break. theres a small strat guide

The only thing I can suggest is have Piro (with Axebomber or Giant Hill) and Blackrose (with Sun Fang one or Spider Blade). I would either keep kite on Healer/support when fighting Parasite Dragon.
