Battle Strategies

Post by Nite_of_Shadows »

What strategy do you use regularly or on a specific monster/monster team?

Mine are:
Against anyone-The Moon or The hanged man on all enemies and then attack until a "Death" strike is made then I make Mistral/Moonstone/Marlo/Blackrose attack them then got to the next.

Menhir(With or without group)-Kill Menhir if hes the only Menhir 1st, if in groups i paralyze one then kill the other or Data drain one kill the other.

The 1st startegy gained me about 8-9 lvls cause i went to levels 15+ higher than mine

You have a good strategy, but there are some obvious flaws

The Moon or The Hanged Man scrolls don't affect every monster, so that sort of blows that one out of the water. Sorry :(

As for the Menhirs, remember, if there are more than one, they can revive each other. If only one, and other monsters, definately take them out first because of them resurrecting their comrades

HOW THE HECK DO I BEAT THIS SON OF A @#%$?
I believe I have to use data drain but it wont Protect Break. Am I doing it right?
BTW I have Kite, Blackrose, and Mistral in my party and we are at level 27.

You just continue striking Skeith until he Protect Breaks (it'll take some time, but it will break) then Data Drain. You should heal when appropriate (and preferably Kite should act as healer) and carry recovery items as well.

Keep trying eventually you will beat him. But beware of his data drained form. For more information I can give you some tips.

I use a head on strategy, and when needed I use healing postions the spells dont get you anywhere in my oppinion. (its stupid but effective)
as for the multiple Menhirs I weaken each one to its lowest HP level and then beat them all in one hit with the evolved ani don where it hits all enemys in a certain area, but I have my teammates in heal and dont move strategy so they dont ruin the plan and so they can revive when neccecary.
I never mean any offense in any of my posts unless stated previously
I don't use cheat devices such as gameshark or game genie or action replay.

When I beat Skeith, I went in with Blackrose and Mistral. From the guides I read, a lot recommended that I have myself heal, and get BR and Gardenia(sp?) go in and melee, but I just didn't like the idea of being a healer.

This strategy was a bit tough at first, I went in way underprepared, but after stocking up, and bringing some extra Defence charms, I was set. Just make sure to trade a bunch of Resurects (sp again?) to the other 2 people in your party, and carry a bunch for yourself. You'll die a lot, but if you can last till Protect Break, it's pretty easy from there.

I usauly bring garenia and mistral with me. Me and Gardenia attack and Mistral heals when neccisary... And I make her use magic every now and then. I don't use moons and hang mans that much. It takes away the challage. The harder the monster the better the challage, the more fun.

You enjoy challenges huh? I find them fun as well, way to easy using stuff like that unless its absolutely necessary *Like on the brink of dying*. My strategy is that I use Speed Up on my Avatar, and my party if I have anyone with me. For higher lvl monsters, I bring a melee character then my second choice is a wavemaster for healing, spells, majic. For equal/low lvl characters I solo.

Challenge for Infection: Beat Skeith by yourself, it is REALLY hard. I stayed up really late until I successfully beat him. Good luck... Ludicrous.

Beating the phases by yourself... I'm going to start an other file and do it! What a great idea. It's the best challage of all. Thanks for telling me about it.

Death isn't the end of life but the start of new life, so don't fear death.

Another one is pay close attention to the monster behavior. That is something really important and I might come in handy.
