UNKNOWN item~risky coffee

when i finished the 4th volume and i was just collecting the items for the lists i came across a item called "risky coffee"

i never heard of such an item....and it's not even on the ITEM LIST!!!

has anyone else encounted this???

it is a special item used to trade a specific item with aanothe4r charcter

like the ice bar u get in infection

... Who? o_O I haven't found ANY player who is asking for it, and I talk to literally everyone (trading for Item Completion Event).

I think it's just a collector's item you can keep. There's no sense in using it anyway, Noble Wine has the SAME effect.

Just like with all the other bonus items, these items relate to .hack//Liminality.

The Risky Coffee refers to Liminality vol. 4 when Kyoko and Yuki are trying to get drinks (coffee) from the vending machine. Taking a risk that they'd get caught.

I got some ideas for some of thos items.(and the area's for thes items)

Ice Bar - Totowoka was eating a icecream bar when he was talking to Mai on the phone in part 1.
Area: Delta - Hideous Organ Market Scaffold

Chinese food - the 4th part when they wher on the ship they wher eating kinds of Chinese food.
Area: 3rd server(don't remember the name) - Capricious Unending Corridor

Field's Deed - no idea
Area: 4th server(again don't remember the name) - Tested Morphean Alchemy

Maiden's Plot - no idea
Area: 4th server - Abrasive False Tragedy

Rouge Fragment - no idea
Area: 4th server - Entwined Prejudiced Chaos

Boxed Lunch - no idea
Area: 4th server - Greedy Gambler's Drift

Scent of Gero - no idea
Area: 4th server - Ancient Destroyer's Battlefield

Magnolia Miso - no idea

3-Floor Tower - in the second part that woman that helped Yuki escape the billding(you know when i first here her voice i could of swarn she was Helba... no im not talking about Yuki).

um i know where the magnolia miso comes from... in liminality part 3 tokowoka wanted it when he kyoko and ichiro sata went for lunch to discuss the situation in The World

and another i can think of is the christmas card i dont know where that comes from or where to find it right know but if any one know plz tell me

Risky Coffee is a rather weird item. It's not something you trade at all... it's just Noble Wine with another name. But, it's not on the item list for some odd reason. Probably because you only have one chance of collecting it. But other than that, it's pretty pointless and just like a pat on the back for completing one of the secret areas. An Easter egg.

There are actually a few more secret areas with items, that like Risky Coffee, are not for trade. But they do have a significance in Liminality, to my knowledge.

First of all, though, to add to Kyle's list, the Boxed Lunch is supposedly from the Takayama subway. It's pretty cool to check the descriptions of some of the items... there are a few the say more than "Cannot be used, might come in handy in a trade".
3-Floor Tower - Hidan's cultural craft.
Ice Bar - Block of ice with "You're a winner!" written on it. (BTW, anyone find it weird that this item is available in Infection, but the guy who wants it doesn't offer to trade for it until Mutation?)
Doll Amulet - Protector of pregnant women and children.
Scent of Gero - Scent from Gero Hot Springs

But anyway, other items are the:

Kagayuzen - Delta, Voluptuous Her Remnant. Rare light body armor. I'm not sure what it has to do with Liminality, but after doing a bit of research, the Japanese name of the item seems to refer to a backpack or purse or something... haven't seen Liminality in forever, so probably Mai, Kyo or Yuki were carrying something. *Shrug*

Ceramic Helm - Theta, Dog-Dancing Passionate Tri-Pansy. Heavy head armor. Not sure if this has anything to do with Limmy. But a random weird fact, this is the only rare-classified armor that Kite can't wear.

BL Yokohama - Lambda, Bottomless Soul Kaleidoscope. This is a book that increases water attribute by a whole 3. Kinda unfortunate since Kite's a Twin Blade and they don't care about water, but anyway, not sure what this has to do with Liminality. But the BL stands for "Blue Light", based on the Japanese name of the item. So if anyone can recall a blue light in Liminality part 2, that was it.

Bent Glasses - Lambda, Lightless Sacred Remains. Light head armor. I'm pretty sure that this refers to when Yuki bent her glasses.

Christmas Card - Omega, Reincarnated Elusive Lyric Poet. Just another item to trade for the Silent Bomber weapon with Jutah. Wasn't mentioned before. But anyway in Liminality part 4 there is a Christmas celebration.


I'm pretty sure that the volumes you get the item in may help determine which part of Liminality it's referred to in. Part 3 must have had a lot... Outbreak is the king of secret areas.
