In .hack//quarantine, I cant find Silver Knight to trade with him, does anyone know where I can find him?

Silver Knight does not play in "The World" at the end. At least, he's not a character you can find walking around in root towns. The only .hack//SIGN characters who walk around in towns are:

Mimiru
Bear
Crim
A-20

Not necessarily, I´ve encountered Mimiru also in Carmina Gadelica, Bear in Fort Ouph and Crim in Dun Loireag...

They all appear in all five server root towns.

However, the ENTIRE gang though seem to pop up TOGETHER most frequently in Mac Anu.

BT is not a character you can find in .hack//QUARANTINE.

But that are only the half-invisible memory fragments you can hunt in outbreak...you can´t trade with them.
The only Characters you can encounter "live" are Bear, Mimiru, Crim and A-20.
(And Sora when you count in the dungeon where you find the red wand from Skeith).
BT and Ginkan are never seen "live" during the games (or I´ve missed something).

The Tsukasa, Subaru and Sora you get in the Epilogue of Quarantine are A.I.s, not the real ones. Only Helba is real from these four!

That's because he doesn't appear in the game. Only the "ghost" version of Ginkan can be found.

the 2 people your are missing are sieg and kazu and they appear after beating quarintine.

Well, Crim is rarely online as you might know...he´s on business trips often and so he logs in very few times...as Kite and Orca does too later on in LotB when they are in college.

A-20 is mostly online and wandering in towns, Bear, Sieg and Mimiru sometimes and Crim as well as Kazu more rarely as I´ve noticed...

I know for a fact that you can find more than one in a town at the same time, i've seen bear-crim-and mimiru in mac anu at the same time........so they must be able to show up at the same time

Actually, here's how it works.

The reason a lot of you have trouble finding Crim, is because in Quarantine he doesn't appear as an NPC until after you've done the event with him at Omega, Obedient Someone's Knights, and get "Crim's Spear". Bear, A-20, and Mimiru, however, do. I'm not sure if their appearance is based on whether you've done the events with them in previous volumes, since I've never tried not to.

As for finding them online... here's an interesting trick I found out. It's not if they appear the others don't, not at all. I've had Bear, Crim, and A-20 all online at once one time.

How it works, is every time you log into a server, switch servers, or enter and exit a field back onto the server, a random selection of available NPC's of that point in the game (as in, you won't see the sign characters and Kazu and Seig till Quarantine and some require events) is chosen.

Each of the five servers has a given amount of people on it each time.

The ones I marked with an asterisk I'm not sure about, but you can easily figure out yourself. But the other ones I'm 100% about. I used to know them all... haven't played for a while, but this is all from memory. But I'm 100% on Delta and Theta's, but the others are pretty close.

Delta always has 15 people.
Theta has 10.*
Lambda has 8.*
Sigma has 12.*
Omega has 5.

Now, I hope you know about using Ryu Book 3 to track if somebody's online. So it would be a little hard to find someone you don't have in it yet, but like if you're looking for some NPC's you haven't met yet and want to determine whether they are where you are, you can use Ryu Book 3 and count how many people you see online. If you count one less than the usual number, then there's someone you don't have there. Might want to re-determine the numbers of people for Theta, Lambda and Sigma, though, just in case I may be wrong.

Also a little note. If you're exiting a field onto a server and you have a party with you, or if you move from a server to another server along with a party, there will be one or two less than the usual amount depending how many you have with you. So do this alone so it won't confuse you. However, if you enter a server alone (like logging in) and call a party, it will not take away two people.

Anyway, your best bet for tracking down someone, whether you've met them or not or your looking for a specific person to trade with is switch between Delta and Sigma servers and check if the person is online using Ryu Book 3. They have the most people (I may not remember Sigma's accurate number, but I do remember they're the second most crowded after Delta with 15). It may take a while, but you'll eventually see the person with "online" next to them.

Now... as for Ginkan/Silver Knight, as far as I know he and BT are the only Sign characters who are NOT NPCs or party members or anyone that would appear as one of the 76 people in Ryu Book 3 (party members are in that as well obviously).

Random off topic question though... it's been determined plenty of times that Tsukasa, Subaru, and Sora are just AI's and not the real thing, since according to the story they wouldn't be accessing (the Sora in the event where you get Sora's Blades is the real one, though since you free him). But Mimiru, Bear, Crim, and A-20 are real, correct?

Yup, Bear Mimiru Crim and A-20 are the real deal.
It would kinda stink if they weren't though- I can't imagine not seeing Crim.
