Cato turned around when he saw a new face enter the building. He was so busy stuffing his face with breakfast that he had to take a moment to swallow his food. He wiped off his mouth before he began to speak.

"Good morning, sir. Come in and unwind, I'm sure you'll enjoy the food that our chef has prepared for us."

"You don't have much of a sense of humor." She decided when her joke elicited no reaction from Cato. Jessabell frowned at Josh's appearance and looked at Lyreth. I hope there's at least one other girl on the team. She turned her gaze over to the table and then over to the half a dozen bedrooms. Assuming everybody here has a room and all of the rooms are taken then two of those rooms each belong to a person then there's good odds that at least one of them's female.

"I'm going to unpack. Let me know when everypony else is here." She stated and took the room farthest from the front door. Jessabell tossed her bag onto the bed and left her sandals just outside the door. She started booting the computer up and checked everything. "They actually expect me to wear that?" She commented as she noted the DI uniform in her closet. Jessabell toyed with the watch for a second. "That's terrible." She scoffed at the computer's GUI, reached into her bag for a flash drive and rolled up keyboard and plugged both in and started hammering away on the keyboard. "Ok, and here, we, go." She sighed pleased as her own OS started replacing the old one.

Jess pulled a much used and abused raggedy ann doll out of her bag and set it on her pillow. She set a spare glasses case on her desk, it looked better than the doll at least. And lastly she pulled out a clear plastic picture frame with what looked like a screenshot of a few characters from some fantasy computer game. A lightly armored swordswoman with a massive blade on her back, a heavily armored swordsman with a shield, a witch with a staff, and it looked like there had been a fourth, but that part of the picture had been torn off leaving the jeweled top of a staff or rod just hanging there. On the back, scrawled in pen were the names Mimi, Noel, Connie, and Wash running along the tear. Jess trailed her fingers across the torn portion of the picture, reminiscing.
((Anti-Poraxians, do they meld with their clothes when they go triasic? I'm currently assuming not and that my character will be going through clothes like candy when she starts having to, but thought I'd check. Also, just how big will Jess get when she changes? Currently assuming about as big as a horse, but again thought I'd check.))

As Jess left to unpack her things, Cato took another moment to think about her joke as he continued indulging his hunger.

"Green hornet..." Cato thought to himself. "Yes, she does have green hair... And her eyes... Maybe I'm over thinking it again."

For all of Cato's book smarts he could never be fully comfortable in a social situation, and while most people would have laughed at a good joke, Cato just... Took it in and thought about it. Over analyzed it. A bit MORE than he should have. As he was lost in thought suddenly he felt a slight pain in his mouth. He had apparently ran out of food and bit his fork. But he didn't give into his pain, but simply looked at his empty plate. And then...

*Grumble*

He looked back up, at Lyreth.

"Ma'am, is there enough food left for seconds?" He inquired, hungrily.

Joshua:( he notices Connie frown at him) great I already upset somebody it's out even doing anything... ( he takes a seat next to Cato) oh wow it all smells really good...I can't remember when I last had home cooked meal ( he looks towards Cato) h I'm Joshua by the way joshua Bright if you have any issues medical feeling sick or injured my office hours in the house will be from well ah I won't worry about that for now..( he looks at lyreth) umm I'm not too late for the food am I?..

"You aren't late at all. Jess mentioned something earlier about "others" coming in, I'm sure our chef accounted for them. Help yourself. Oh, where are my manners? I'm Cato Marinus. Before being drafted for this mission I was a librarian. If you need any book recommendations, I'm your man... Octupus?"

Cato then took a moment to think about his words. Could he really call himself a "man"? As in, a huMAN? It was his nature to over think even the simplest remarks, often leaving the others confused. The others in the room might have seen his chipped tooth as he was talking. Apparently the fork did a little number on it.

"Well, you get the idea. In any case, it's a pleasure to meet you." Cato finished, as he extended his arm out for a handshake. His manner is unusually diplomatic but his gesture seems sincere enough.

Lyreth smiled and dropped a few pancakes on a plate in front of joshua. She also put a small plate next to the one with the pancakes. On the plate was some sausage links and bacon. In front of the group Lyreth sat on the bar a big tub of butter with a spoon stuck in it. After that she put an obscenely large bottle of maple, choclate, and corn syrup next to the platter with bacon sausage and pancakes which was in front of those who were at the table. "Welcome to Division Infinity everyone. I wonder who else shall join us? It is oh so much fun meeting you all!" Lyreth said with a series of small giggles. Lyreth was extremely glad to see her new housemates and wondered if they knew what she did. with an impish grin she turned back around and started cooking more pancakes. Lyreth smiled at the Jess. "So miss. What do you think so far of Division Infinity? Is it not impressive?" In a second pan Lyreth poured some batter in and put some bacon in the batter as it was cooking. "Is this how it's done?" Lyreth said as she looked over at Jess. She patted the counter beside her as if calling the anti-paroxian over.

Jess was awoken from her reverie by the unmistakable sound and smell of bacon pancakes. Perhaps the only food greater than crumpets, well hard to say which one's better. The point of the matter was, Jess placed the picture on the desk, picked the watch up, and followed her nose back out to the kitchen area. She climbed back up onto the counter, where Lyreth had indicated, and supervised the procedure. "You're doing fine." She munched on a piece of bacon while she watched. "Division Infinity is... alright. Your computer systems are crap. Maybe that's intentional? It'll certainly slow any hackers down trying to figure out what series of train track switches they went on before sailing off a bridge and crashing and burning." She touched a hand to the scar across the bridge of her nose. "But you guys have some brutally efficient operators. Too bad the uniforms suck. And what's with these?" Jess offered Lyreth the watch.

Akima had just returned to her quarters within the standard DI barracks after completing her initial investigation of the rooftop where Dr. Fielding had disappeared. She was exhausted, and uptight; Dr. Fielding was infamous in DI, and for him to disappear without a trace was very disconcerting. She had already called in some favors owed to her by some of the more honorable denizens of the city's underbelly. Given her name and status, she couldn't go anywhere near the intel black-market, but they could.

Upon reaching her quarters, she was perturbed to find her key card no longer worked. She called DI's admin office, and was shocked to find she had been reassigned a living space over in the Crystallux colony. Apparently, she'd been assigned to a team whose sole purpose was to track down the good doctor. All her belongings had been packed and were waiting for her at the barrack's front desk.

Once arriving at her new home, she stuck her tongue out at the opulence of it all. It reminded her too much of Alder Manor. Once inside, she was immediately assaulted by the scent of breakfast, and the sound of conversation. Apparently, everyone was in the kitchen. Choosing to set up her room first, she climbed upstairs, set her bags on her bed, grabbed her watch, came back down, and entered the kitchen. She quickly took stock of the people in the kitchen.

Chef. Female. Octumas. Teenager.

Librarian. Male. Octumas. Roughly thirty years of age.

Doctor. Male. Appears human, but doubtful he is. Roughly my age.

Jessabell Winters: Anti-Paroxian. Former criminal; my statement at her former team's trial allowed her to join DI.

Akima's keen analytical skills picked up on myriad variables of each person's physical appearance and posture and quickly deducted various identifiers. But when she got to Jessabell, she froze. She had not expected to ever see her again. This would be awkward.

"Good morning," she said before taking a seat as far from Jess as possible.

When Jessabell first noticed the other woman enter the house she had relaxed slightly. Oh good, we're not going to be outnumbered. And then Akima returned to the kitchen and she saw who it was. The color drained from her face, an impressive feat given Jess was blue and started some panicked shouting, "Wh-wh-what? What are you doing here?" She glanced in the direction of her room, remembering the program she had left running. Jess held her hands up flailing them out in front of her as if to keep Akima at bay, "I'm just installing an OS to my PC. I swear. I'm not breaking into any banks nor the Division's black files or anything like that!"

Joshua: eh human octupas? ( he laughs at Cato over analyzing) you think too much ( he smiles jokingly) human or not your. Good person I can probably trust you I mean we're all weirdos here aren't we? ( he looks t the pancakes) oh wow...their different oh well thanks for the food! ( he stops his fork right before his mouth at Akimas arrival and Jess's outburst) wh-what's happening..are we under attack already? Uhh sooo...how about a welcoming party huh? I mean lets all try..to...relax?

Akima frowned. Of course Jess would still be afraid of her. Though it was kind of amusing at how quickly she was spilling her guts about overriding the standard OS with her own. She was curious to see if she was using the same software from when she'd first met the Anti-Paroxian. If so, she'd have a back door into Jess' cyber-life, and wouldn't have to just take her word on it.

No. You recommended her for DI. She's proven herself. No need to spy on her.

That was true, there really was no need to spy on her. She was an agent of the Division, like her. So, in an effort to appease the doctor's wishes of everyone calming down, Akima simply said, "Not here for you. I'm part of this team that the Director has seen fit to assemble." She then looked to Lyreth and asked, "Do you happen to know how many more will be joining us? Will there be a new briefing of our orders in this investigation?"

Lyreth smiled when when Jess held up the watch. "So one of you paid attention. That's good. Keep doing so...you'll need it."Lyreth said as she held up her wrist. She had the same watch as what jess was holding. "These watches record our mission progress and grant us points we can redeem for things. Call it an incentive to do our jobs. They also allow us to communicate with each other over stupidly long distances. The watch has a built in webcam, it keeps track of your vital signs, it has a gps and it also has built in internet. With a built in input interface."

Lyreth tapped the screen on the watch she was wearing and a small keyboard hovered over the screen. Lyreth disengaged the screen when she saw the disagreement break out. Lyreth crossed her arms as an uncomfortable look came across her face. A couple minutes after she answered Akima's question. "Shady thought it would be good for you all to get to know each other. So he put myself and you all in a house together. There will be two more joining us. My hubby didnt think it would be such a good idea to send you all out as a team with no team spirit!" Lyreth said as she started giggling.

Cato's eyes met with Lyreth's. He quickly screwed up his courage. "Um, thank you for serving breakfast for us. It is nice to meet you despite... Um..." Cato fumbled, as he looked onward at the chaos brewing between Jess and Akima. He then turned to Lyreth again. "I apologize if this is intrusive but how well do you know the other agents? It seems those two... Aren't exactly on the best of terms." Cato looked back over at Joshua. "Hearing them mince words like they have, I think they've had a run-in before. We'd probably do best not to get between them."

Joshua: ( he looks at the watch) so we need to wear these at all times? I'm sorry did you just say hubby?...your married? ive certaintly gotten mixed up with an odd bunch hmm you know what mr. Cato you might be right on this lets just stay out of it for now...I mean it seems to of cooled down slightly anyway...sooo should we start with actual introductions at some point?..wait shady? Oh you mean that guy..( he stretches)..so how has your morning been so far you two? ( he looks at Cato and lyreth)

Lyreth smiled when Cato made eye contact with her. She returned the gaze in an interested way. "It would seem to be the case. It's a shame there's tension already. I haven't met any of you before until we were given this house. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better though!" Lyreth said with a smile as she turned around and got some fresh biscuits out of the oven and put them on the bar in front of the group. She sprinkled some brown sugar on half of them following that up with some honey from a bottle. The other half of the pan was left uncovered. They were as normal biscuits. "Im doing what I can to make everyone welcome..I hope no one wants to move out already." Lyreth said while looking down at the ground. Lyreth looked at Joshua as a slight blush appeared on her cheeks. "ye-yeah..My boyfriend is director Zentas. We have an..interesting relationship..I wanted to be an agent despite his trying to get me to stay home and take care of his house."

Akima gave Joshua a sidelong glance. For a man his age, he could certainly move through a wide arrange of emotions and queries at an alarming pace. It wasn't a bad thing, but it was surprising to see a man his age not having mellowed out.

"Akima Alder, Division Infinity Black-Ops," she said by way of introduction to all in the kitchen before quickly grabbing a biscuit...she loved brown sugar.

Joshua: that certaintly sounds like an interesting relationship must certaintly keep the excitement the poor director must be worried ( he laughs jokingly) awesome I guess he's not an always mysterious director but a worry wort..( he laughs jokngly) huh?..ah forgive me if I upset you by saying that sorry sorry ( he bows his head respectfully) I ran my mouth it's just me and him never really got along too well ( he looks over to Akimas) it's nice to meet you Akimas...or if you prefer miss alders?

"It seems as though I don't really have much choice in the matter." Cato responded to Lyreth. "DI insisted that I go on this mission to hunt down Dr. Fielding. As... A witness." He paused for a brief moment. He thought back to the interview and indeed he had seen Dr. Fielding before. One of the "truants", but as it turned out, he never had any intention of returning anything he borrowed. He thought it was about the overdue book, but the more he heard about him, the scarier all this became. He had tried to read the interrogators minds, but there was some block put in place to prevent him from doing so. Most of the time he preferred not to, though. It was rude to peer into other people's minds, after all. After being alone with his thoughts for a moment he looked back at Lyreth. "Well, I suspect there's another reason I'm here but what that reason is I have yet to figure out."

After discussing the circumstances of his "draft", he turned around to Akima who had just introduced herself to all present. After Joshua greeted Akima, Cato introduced himself as well. "It is nice to meet you Akima, I'm Cato Marinus."

Akima's statement of not being there to police Jessabell put her at ease, and after hearing what all the watch did, Jessabell pulled out her pocket knife and started taking it apart while the others talked. Eventually she noticed people looking at her expectantly. "What? I'll put it back together when I'm done. Or make some improvements." When people were still looking at her, she struck a couple keys in tandem on her wristband keyboard and replayed the last several seconds of audio her smartglasses had picked up to her earbuds. She waved with her pocket knife in hand, "Jessabell Winters, you guys can call me Jess. I'm a tinkerer and reformed hacker." She looked pointedly at Akima for several seconds while she took a deep breath and slowly let it out. "Thanks to our dear Ms. Alders." After a few more seconds she resolved to feel a certain way about Akima. Grateful. If they were going to work together, she couldn't be constantly baring her fangs, plus that was a wearying thought. She inclined her head slightly and stated, with a more positive tone, "Akima." Jess returned her gaze to the watch as she began picking it apart once more.
