I'm almost hesitant to ask, but has anyone else here played Fire Emblem: Awakening?

What did you guys think of the marriage system and pair up system?

It was pretty interesting.

I of course focused on my custom unit and got him married kind of early, haha.

My unit was just OP. I was able to beat the final level with just him due to nearly every stat maxed.

Your 'child' unit that joins you is also very strong if your custom unit is strong, they inherit your stats, I believe.

Hmm, they also inherit you and your partner's skills as well.

I only wished for two things: that light magic existed and that triangle attack was available. Sadly, both weren't XD

I almost never use triangle attacks, so the lack of them didn't really affect me. Light magic, on the other hand... blech. XD

(Although from a gameplay standpoint, I'm not really sure how it would fit in, considering they're using the tome system from Shadow Dragon...)

And hey, my last playthrough I cleared the final chapter in one turn with Lucina and Morgan <_<

Wow...talk about overpowered units. My usage of triangle attack is 30%. If I'm talking about Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, I use it almost immediately on bosses once I get the chance to.

Speaking of units, aside from Lucina and Morgan, who are your favourite units/more utilized units from Generation 1 and generation 2?

I seem to lean towards the personalities of:

Frederick - After reading his supports with Panne, he instantly became one of my top faves.
Donnel - because whoever thought a guy with a bucket on his head could turn out to be so awesome XD

Rules: no DLC skills or classes (including no Limit Breaker), no pair-up skills (because AI doesn't do pair-up), not aiming for the most broken skillsets possible, no Armsthrift (if Armsthrift is listed in a skillset, that's because I'm still using that character for in-game purposes, and will be replacing it with something else later on).
