Elk Email

How can I get Elk to email me, or does he never do that?

I tried to increase my Affection, but after several hundred thousand gold, it didn't help much.

Hmm, how high is his affection? The npcs seems to send an email at ever even hundred (200, 400, 600 etc.) of affection level.

The only other things I can think of is that if you ever got an email from him before and responded with "wrong" answer, he won't email you anymore. The other thing that could've happened is that you've gotten all the emails he will send.

I think I read somewhere that he doesn't reply to emails until after beating Quarantine.

And...his affection was as high as the game would allow it to. @.@

Oh yeah, I don't think he responds until after you beat Quarantine, forgot about that.

Well if his affection is at the highest it will go, at least you know you'll be getting plenty of emails from cute ‘lil Elk when you beat the game.

go under key items during the game(while in a root town) and look for one regarding "Your friends". I believe its ryu book five. you will see each of your friends name and a affection level. This ranges from 1 to 1000, with 1000 being the best.
